Just now got the 10 gold and $400 from Rockstar.

Dlc likes after outlaw pass completed.

*Wilderness camp travel option.

*My new Mustang and Fox Trotter.

Carry more regular shotgun ammo.

Horses not rank hidden.

I like all misc collections, ammo, and anything else that goes into my storage.

Bounties are the same as the others, they don't suck but I got bored of them.

Will play them at some point.

Would've preferred the option to solo all story missions.

Played the Beau Finley mission on Lvl 4 with 3 friends, it was fun.
Free aim, 0 lives.
It was a challenge

Played a few Infamous Bounties, some of them add a little something. Not like the bounties we've had, they were fun.

I have a stupid question about this update, but in my main RDR menu on Xbox there is a star next to the story mode indicating something new. Did they add anything new to the story mode version of the game or is this just to let me know that even though I own the full game that the story mode is separate now?

I have another stupid question.

The new level 22 and 23 skills allow you to detect players with $5+ bounties and they pop up as optional side missions when they are in your area, is that right?

Have they also increased the rate at which the price on your head rises?

Doesn't this then create an Outlaw vs Lawman dynamic?

Isn't this a good thing?

It happened to me in Tumbleweed, it was great fun.

Yeah it has to do with RDO Standalone.

It's basically letting you know that you own story mode.

Thank you

I was just making sure they didn't sneak something cool into story mode and not let us know.

Spiffy, yeah that loose mane (and or wild?)  goes flying straight up looking like a thin Mohawk or something. Cracked me up first time my horse was running with it.

Yeah, I hate how they added that "star" over story mode too; I've had this thing since RELEASE so I KNOW I have story mode. It does make you think there

would be something new, since they do the same thing if you have a new benefit/whatever.

yep, I have player bounties pop up much more often now.
No idea if the bounty amount increases faster now

Too early for me to tell if this is a good thing long-term, for now it's an added feature I like.

I'd like to see them refine the Honor and Hostility system, so the difference between a) players who got a high bounty from killing NPCs and b) griefers becomes more clear when a player bounty pops up.

I really feel like this update should have been accompanied by something much larger, then it would have been acceptable. But so far after a few days, and even knowing before playing this it was going to be filler content.

Super disappointing stuff all around.

PSA: Jeanropke mapped out all of the new Dynamic Event, Free Roam,  Bounty hunter missions. 27 locations total.
He calls them Dynamic Bounty Target.

I highly suspect they're subject to the same cooldown timers and interference from other Dynamic Events, so with very few exceptions it'll be very difficult to get these to spawn whenever we like.
I even tried in a solo lobby

Like Properties.

We still have "expansions" for Trader, Collector, Moonshiner and Naturalist before we get any proper updates.

I'm guessing they'll save something big to entice the sales of PS5 version.

Fluff updates for the next two years until they get the 4K/60fps PS5 and Series X Remaster out.

Big TIme McGill

So I'm going to say that I've come around on this update.  Sure, it's not the big expansion I was hoping for, but I'm enjoying these new infamous bounties.  It's very strange to me that these aren't highlighted as they've basically added 39 story like chapters to the online world.  You can't even distinguish them from the 3 star bounties but usually they are the posters with groups of individuals.

The new horses are decent, I like there are more random bounties and events, and it's made me come back to doing Bounty hunter missions which I largely avoided for a long time.

I do hope that they come up with a brand new role, something that really allows you to embrace being an Outlaw.  I'm thinking of things like robbing banks, trains, and stores, infiltrating gangs, betrayals, becoming a hit man, etc.  Seems like such an obvious role that isn't really fleshed out.

Even a QoL update for crying out loud.

-More stable spaces

-Ability to purchase saddle X and make it use saddle Y's skin

-Ability to have horse X but with horse Y's coat

-Invite/Private lobbies

-Fix magically walking off into the yonder when digging up a collectible

-Fix endless black screen loads

-Allow player to whistle wagon horse to follow or approach them

-PvE/PvP server choices whereby PvP servers disable defensive mode, and provide more XP for player kills and more $RDO reward for player bounties

All the above doesn't even need new assets... just heckin fixes and the like.

Yeah, since only one worth using is Nagocheszes (SP)

They keep making spiffy new saddles which are not anywhere near as good.

Also, there appears to be no way to SEE the stats on the new bounty hunter one (for example) WITHOUT buying it?

I tried in the interface, but could not.

I just read that for a newer player, the Upland is not bad (although expensive, but you also don't have to buy a saddle bag/stirrups, like the Nagocheezez)

The difference is that because the Nag. can use the -50 stamina drain stirrups you buy, it has -85 vs the native Upland's -65.

ALSO: You can't store 7 outfits on the Horse, like with the Nag's use of the collector saddle bag; so NATIVELY the Upland is pretty good, but after

buying the collector's saddlebag and the -50 drain stirrups for the Nag., it is still the best.

I keep hearing that the Nag. being able to use those -50 drain stirrups was thought to be a bug or something? So people are

always saying it might be fixed someday? (imagine the outcry about that.,..  lols... )

Weird, can't remember that happening. That kind of happens to me sometimes after making Cripp's stew/trying to eat it or

when trying to "wash face" at camp; It only happens sometimes for me.

After the Naturalist update it came back. I used to have it happen more when there was a dig spot next to a wall, like at the moonshine shack location in the swamps. The character just stops digging and walks away and you're helpless to stop it.

The amount of bugs they just let "pass" with this thing, amazes me  ;)

It is the total opposite of playing "No Man's Sky", by Hello Games, where if there is a weird bug

it is usually fixed in the soonish next patch or at least the one after that (complete with patch notes.)

That game gets my reward for most improved ever, with people saying it was horrible 4 years ago

when it first came out.

Comparing to computers/operating systems, Rockstar seems like Microsoft while someone like

Hello Games seems like the Linux community of developers.

@Krommer You're right, Hello Games are doing the exact opposite of R*.

Recently, they increased the payouts in No Man's Sky and there are no macrotransactions! Yet, DLC's are still free!

OnlyPvPCat did a video on the new saddle.

I holds up to the Naco saddle until you get to the stacking of the stirrups effect, where it falls flat pretty quickly.

Basically, if you don't go on long rides, then the new saddle (and probably most saddles, for that matter) will be fine.

It's the stamina drain that's the difference, and the difference is pretty big.

It's no contest.

I guess that's why people consider the Naco saddle to be broken, because of the stirrup drain reduction stacking.

And yeah, you won't be able to change the saddle bags with the new saddle, so you have to run with only 5 outfits compared to 7 with the collector saddle bags.

It's so stupid they made one combination beat everything else by so much of a margin, it makes the other saddle and bag options completely pointless.

If you could get close with other saddle combos, then many people would be using a bunch of varied tack.

But, like the limitation on what clothing combinations you can use, lack of customization options is one of greedstar's trademarks.

Nacogdoches saddle also gives +3 Top speed and +3 acceleration... all other saddles can do +1 or +2

So there is zero reason to use anything other than Nacogdoches and why is the horse performance LIMITED to the animal's coat ffs!!??

Imagine in GTAO if purple paint made the car faster and black, silver, red etc were slow colours. Everyone driving around with THE SAME colour and no variation.

2+ years I've been submitting feedback on this and 2+ years of R* not listening to any of it. They have zero connection with their playerbase.

I look at it like this: in free roam, there is no real difference between the high end saddles - regardless of the stats.
If I ride all out from A to B with a posse of 7, we all get there at the same time more or less.
So I have the freedom to buy the saddle I like for its looks

Agree that the game systems should be different though, and stats affect gameplay differently.
We should be able to choose the horse we want, with the coat we want, and the saddle we want. Then we buy perks that improve stats to the max - or not.

Just FYI, the stats on Horses are irrelevant. The difference between the lowest stats and highest stats is about two seconds.

Buuuut, I do see your point. I can't wait until we can "custom order" Horses. Choose the breed, the coat and its stats but it will cost Gold.

Welp, I was considering buying an Upland saddle or two since I quite like the look but if it reduces my outfit slots then it could make my horse sh*t gold bars and still be a hard pass from me 😛
