BrynnaDaRosa
Was fooling around in Simple Trainer with bodyguards and noticed something about ped voicebanks. Or rather, voicebanks for certain characters. Packie has two different audio archives. One for his normal behavior in story mode and your interactions with him, and puzzlingly, a separate one specifically for GTA Online where he idles in your arcade's basement, with only the greetings & saying goodbye, and things he says when you're standing close to him. Both are labeled packie.awc. The thing is, I was only able to find the GTA Online voicebank for Packie in the trainer, but when I select it, he will have all of his sounds & reactions from story mode. So something is telling the game that this is the same character, or an addition to this voicebank. Something similar occurs with Agent 14. You can select either his normal voicebank, agent14, or another voicebank, also labeled agent14, in simple trainer— that contains gunrunning resupply&sell mission audio, as well as the audio from the MOC missions, which is contained in the gnrc.awc in the gunrunning dlc files. What I'm wondering is, is this the game itself that knows that those two Packie voicebanks are two parts to one, or that those two Agent 14 voicebanks are two of the same, or is it Simple Trainer itself that has its own thing that says, "hey, these are the same voicebank actually, if one is selected, still use the sounds from the main one." Is it like how protaganists have multiple archives, like how you have "normal" or "angry" michael?
