When I play in campaign mode the use of the GPU is more than 90% and I get a stable 144fps, on the other hand in online mode I only have 40-50% use in online mode and I get about 70-80 fps. I play at 2k resolution and all high. Why is this happening? I thought it could be my internet connection, but it is correct too. Thanks. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Rotorhead359 Posted November 28, 2020 Share Posted November 28, 2020 It's because of poor multithreading. This game has a very ancient engine and handles too much on the main thread. The more players in your lobby, the more work the main thread has to do, and that slows down your framerate. If you start an invite-only lobby alone, you'll probably get the same fps as in story mode. Modern games are better at multithreading, and can offload more stuff to parallel threads.
