GTAplayer36500
First of all I would like to say I have not come on this forum to belittle GTA5 or unfairly criticise it in any way, however I must state my deep concern and frustriao with how the game has been designed. For a game called GTA, vehicles will of course be used, it put's the whole auto in grand theft auto. There is a problem in this game its the traffic. For a while now I have been analysing traffic behaviour towards the player and it only seems to be getting worse. Usually I found that traffic where really bad on a Wednesday but now traffic are just as bad if not worse on Saturday and Sunday, no matter how well you drive they always try to hit you, brake check you, honk at you even if your not in their way and most of all they will wait for you to get some speed before they deliberately ram you damaging your vehicle and annoying you in the process. Its just ridiculous, I feel that not enough people have talked about this but among the other issues with the game this is just the worst, i's the type of thing that makes you shut the game off, when your driving traffic get impatient and try and cut you off as much as they can, even if your at a red light which is about to turn green they are already honking their horn and ramming you with their car. What's the point, what enjoyment is there in constantly getting cut off, rammed, honked at?, why on earth did rockstar think this was a good design decision, its just stupid there's no way around it, I don't care how bad people in LA may drive, this is a game and it should be fun but instead rockstar exaggerated and went over the top and have now spoiled the driving experience, even if you try to ignore the traffic it gets to you after a while and at some point you just can't take any more. It may have been funny at the start, it may have been a good little laugh but now something that may have been considered funny is now plain annoying, I've had years of playing various racing games, gran turismo, nfs, the crew, and GTA, the physics I don't have a problem with in GTA but the traffic I do, and just for anyone wondering I'm not comparing GTA 5 to racing games i'm just saying that I have player car games for years and im a good driver who can easily get used to different driving physics in games. One last thing I want to say is, "I can't help but imagine how much more enjoyable GTA 5 would be if traffic wasn't designed the way it was" I think there is a serious issue at hand that is directly affecting the traffic ai, I've been watching for some time and I have seen all sorts of things that shouldn't be happening: 1) Traffic cars sinking into the ground 2) Vehicles honking from the other side of the road 3) Ai crashing into each other in the pursuit of blocking the player Thanks for listening, THIS IS NOT A RANT J LaFleur, B Dawg, MrPikmin16 and 3 others
B Dawg
Traffic AI definitely is busted: 4:15 to 6:45 and 32:50 to the end billiejoearmstrong8, MrPikmin16, NightmanCometh96 and 3 others
billiejoearmstrong8
I'm so with you on the traffic OP! The thing that really grinds my gears about it is the way the car physics are designed so that any car you're driving acts like it's very light, but any car you're not driving acts like it's a very heavy immovable object. So unlike in previous GTAs, not only is ramming other cars off the road difficult since you'll usually get stopped dead if you try, but even just nudging a parked car or a car in traffic in the city out of the way when you've caught the edge of your bumper on it isn't possible. Instead of just pushing past it you have to reverse and go around every time. Who thought this was fun?! The heavy traffic wouldn't be nearly as annoying if it wasn't for this bad design aspect. Fake Lilina
The A-I. The random ways the game can screw you over. (Example: I failed the Jewlry Heist once, because I drove fast enough to the point where the game had me trapped behind loads of Debris) The Police A-I. The Gold Medals with sheer halfassed requirements. (Although, some are extremely easy) The Difficulty.
