Not counting GTAs, my favorites are Red Dead Redemption 1 and The Warriors, followed by Max Payne 1 and 2.

Max Payne 3 and midnight club LA are the best games rockstar ever made

Excluding the GTA I have to say Manhunt, because it's the only R* game besides any GTA game I own. I had Bully on 360 but couldn't get hooked enough.

 

If Max Payne 1 was R* game I wouldn't have to think it for one bullet time! Purchased the day it was released.

Grand Theft Auto IV will always hold a special place in my heart. It solidified my love for open-world games and demonstrated how effectively social commentary can be conveyed through a medium like this. Truly ahead of its time in just about every category I can think of. I don't think even Rockstar realizes what an achievement it was for gaming as a whole.

The Warriors best film tie in game ever made. Tons of content, really fun beat em up gameplay. Gritty atmosphere.

Bully for me, it grew on me more than I thought it would. Ive always wanted to try The Warriors though.

Personally, I've always loved Red Dead Redemption I and 2, although L.A Noire is also an interesting game. I find GTA to be slightly too overwhelming at times, although I do like aspects of them - the environments and customisation particularly.
