So what is the best gun the gun in the game to use against npcs?

Recommended Posts

I've actually wondered this for a while now. Grand Theft Auto 5 always had this weird effect with NPCs that they would always have this weird ragdoll effect shooting enemies. So although we know for a fact that even though some of th best weapons you can use for pvp combat like the combat mg or Carbine it doesn't apply the same way against NPCs.

I wonder what is the best weapon. I've notice the musket usually drops them quick but it's slow to reload. And I used to have a friend who would use the flaming rounds on NPCs. But never tried it for myself

Combat MG and Special Carbine are my go-to weapons against npcs. But it of course also depends on what exactly you are doing. Are you doing survivals, heists, missions? On foot, in a car, on a bike, in a boat?

As Others Said:

Special Carbine is the Most useful gun in many situations. Its a Must have!

For Close Quarter Combat (indoors) the Classic assault (Auto?)Shotgun is the best choice.

For fighting aircraft, the minigun is a good choice (or the RPG for slow moving target)

For Shooting Out of a Car, the AP Pistol is clearly one of the best

As a heist speedrunner who speedruns the harder Doomsday Heists, I personally use the Carbine Rifle MK-II as it's accurate and the AP Pistol since it's more ideal to use in close quarters against the OP buffed NPCs, if you can snap up and get a headshot then it will always take one shot to kill an OP enemy regardless of what weapon you have. I basically weapon switch between the two.

I have 7 main weapons which between them I find cover all the bases (excluding explosives, grenades RPGs which can always be useful for certain situations)

1) AP pistol from cars

2) Mark II SMG from bike

3) Special Carbine with extended magazine standard on foot weapon

4) Assault Shotgun for interior combat

5) MK II Combat MG for heavy targets with armour, things like Merryweather in setups. Not as accurate, but it will take some tougher opponents down in 1 hit.

6) Minigun for enemy juggernauts and helicopters

7) Heavy sniper for anything at range
