Minalessa 13
Whatever you do, do not buy Seagate. Their drives are highly unreliable. Now you have 3 choices left.
LunaMax 14
Do you need it to be portable? As that'll also wittle your options down by either 1 or 5. Or if you take the advice of the previous poster, 1 or 2 options.
Mister Pink 12,204
What's everyone's opinion of Western Digital? I'm unfamiliar with them. An uncle recommended them to me but haven't used them myself. I've pretty much been using those Adata HD Pro ones that claim to be military grade, drop-proof and waterproof (up to 2ft or something). I take that with a huge pinch of salt but I do like the protection. They're mostly just kept as backup drives and aren't actively used unless occasionally I need to get something off them. @CCPD I've only experience with one Seagate 2tb HDD. It's been going OK. I'm actually actively using it doing some Premier Pro projects off it. It runs fine. They seem like good value. I know all HDD's are prone to failure but there has to be one that's statistically better than them all. It's just impossible to find that data. Did you decide on one in the end? If so, how's it working out for you?

Had a little Dell Poweredge with 8*6TB ones in a RAID10 and they worked really well. I think also having like 8GB on board SSD helps with caching even in just a 1 disk scenario.
