I like GTA 4 and GTA 5

Many of you like GTA 4 than GTA 5. It is the most hated game in this forum. If you want to know how many gamers hate GTA 5, Click Here and see the results.

My likes in GTA IV

==============

The graphics is okay to me even if its ugly.

Ragdolls are so funny in GTA IV. I kept on running them over brutally.

Cheats are cool in GTA IV. Sometimes if I spawn an Anihilator it hits a pedestrian and dies.

I enjoyed bowling and playing pool with friends.

Its cool that you can unlock special abilities by hanging out with Brucie, Lil' Jacob and more.

My dislikes in GTA IV

================

The handling of the cars is poor.

The skies is not too blue. Sometimes its dark, it looks like Liberty City has global warming.

Roman keeps on calling me "Niko! Let's go bowling!" a million times.

Drivers in LC are crazy drivers. They run you over and you die.

I can't modify cars in GTA IV.

I can't pick a custom color painjob for my car. I need to park my car several times until i get the paintjob color that I want.

LC is a real urban city, there is no mountain that i can hike. Its full of streets and buildings, no mountains.

My likes in GTA 5

=============

The graphics is so cool im enjoying driving around Los Santos.

The cars are so cool, i can turn them into military style and into futuristic style.

It got cool missions.

GTA 5 get cool updates, i can get new cars, weapons and more in the game. Plus it fixes glitches that I experienced.

My dislikes in GTA 5

================

GTA 5's language is too much. The word f*ck and n***a is said a thousand times. Its so annoying. Mostly Trevor.

GTA 5 mensions m*sturbation several times.

The cops chase me with no reason.

When I was being chased by the cops, they tell me "Pull over!" and I said "okay, fine i'll give up". I pulled over my car, and the cops killed me.

THEY MAKE ME PULL OVER AND THEN THEY WILL KILL ME???!!! WHY WON'T THEY JUST ARREST ME!!!??? INSTEAD OF KILLING ME AND SPENDING 5,000 BUCKS IN THE HOSPITAL!!!

Anyway, i like them both.

How about you, you like them both also?

I love them a lot. Its just so good.

I madly love GTA V a lot because it replaces many racing games in my list.

The gameplay is alright, so so. GTA 4 has personality while GTA V has that magic.

I wanted to give some time to V but after playing RDR2, I don't think that is happening anytime soon. V just feels so empty compared to IV and RDR2.

They're worse in V tho, traffic AI is either broken or purposely designed to f*ck you over.

I think the drivers in IV are the least crazy in any GTA game (except for cab drivers if you tell them to hurry lol, but then you're inside the cab so it's ok). There's nowhere that they drive super fast and they're generally well ordered and don't do that annoying random lane switching infront of you (except on the Algonquin Bridge where there's a glitch where they react to "dodge" the train below them). The only time I can recall being killed by being run over in IV is when I've stood in front of a car and blasted the driver with a shotgun through the windscreen and they did that foot falling on the gas pedal and driving forwards thing that happens occasionally. In V they're pretty well ordered as well but more highways = more lane switching in front of you and there's some very deadly high speeds on them too.

one more that i hate in GTA 5

in GTA 4 after you activated a cheat code, it will be added into the "cheats" menu in your phone

in GTA 5, after you activated a cheat code it will not be added in a cheat menu. So i need to memorize the code. Well in GTA 4 activating cheats is faster than GTA 5

Honestly threads like these are motivated by the V hate that people see, thinking everyone really hates V but reality is that......majority of the world loves V. It is only few places like GTAforums,Youtube and Reddit where the IV > V topic is hottest.

There really not much to gain in expanding upon the opinions of few of us that don't like V that much which already has a 160+ pages thread of complaints for any curious V fan seeking the view of the other side.

I like GTA IV/EFLC the best. GTA V may not be near as good as most previous GTA titles but it still has its redeeming qualities, unlike GTA Online.

I like them both, but I think GTA V is a superior game while GTA IV was a little overrated back in 2008 and it still is a little bit overpraised nowadays. GTA V takes a lot of heat on this forum and most of the time I'll say it's unfair. But that's just me.

@Algonquin Assassin But they are both soooo lameeeeee. 😅

In all seriousness, their movie nature aside along with the heavy accents on the scripted missions, I would always give a slight egde to GTA IV simply because of the fact some sort of idea about the open world and free roam inside it had been lingering inside the creator's mind, at least for a certain amount of time during the makings of the said game. Why it didn't end well in the end, I don't know, but it seems it was eventually lost, replaced with fancy storytelling-literary aproach, and clear attempt to implement somewhat more advanced systems, mechanics and AI ultimately faild, but regardless, it was there. In traces.

They are both story driven AAA titles, a la TLOU, Uncharted or GOW, but with nowhere near as sophisticated fighting/shooting mechanics, lore or a decent enemy AI. Even worse, the open world is nothing but a commercial facade pulled over our eyes just in order to appeal to a broader audience, nothing more. One big-a$$, underused polygon for scripted missions. Both games would more or less be fine without it, especially V, hence I'd say IV has the slight edge.

lol.

Lets agree to disagree.😉

I don’t think I’d ever compare GTA IV and GTA V to games like Uncharted, TLOU, God Of War etc much like I wouldn’t with 3D era GTAs and those kind of games at the time.

Apples and oranges.

Apples and oranges.

Let's completly disagree as he don't know what he is blabering about
comparing over hyped sh*ts that all 100% linears with open world that has more content than all he mentioned all together.
Sophysicated :D gow is sophysicated lol borderline retarded hack n slash with so intelectual story about badass who kill well know characters sleeping with groupies and get pseudo intelectual because he has a son and changed setting.
I would have absolutly no problem with detroit:become human, that was a truly nice experience, story characters some ideas, not only story related but you actualy creating your story.
Maybe a witcher 3 with some of his quests, outlast 2 giving you feeling you are in true nightmare, AC 3 - 4 , brotherhood, their give you illusion of be someone in history era etc.
But he just take a few completly unoriginal and coridor titles in fact uncharted never pretend it's not a indiana jones/ tomb raider ripoff for cuntsoles, and tlou is so original that literally Troy Baker is taking care about his protegé where the hell I just seen that.. oh in hundreds of movies and games from last decade, and compare it to title that has it's own companies, states, radios, commercials, internet, multiple universes and every game is aiming at different crime type and charaterisations. I am not saying thay don't have their own magic and someone who stare with autoaim stick into TV can't be overly fascinated with sophystication, especialy when he has a grand theft auto avatar and propably with others taking it for hit and run geront simulator but all of these need to actually experience the world of IV/V to know what was modern GTA about and running npcs and bad writing was a MILES away from that. But it was propably just a trolling so I took the bait, silly me.

GTA 4's story is cool, it got cool missions.

GTA 5's story is not cool. The heists are the only ones that is cool

GTA IV

Note: I don't play GTA IV too much I always play GTA IV: The Ballad Of Gay Tony so if im wrong, pls correct me

you deal with non-american guys and kill people, which is okay. Well killing is the main thing in GTA IV which is super fun.

GTA 5

you deal with FIB f*ckwads, kidnap a guy (which is Mr K) and gather info by torturing him (ex. loosing his tooth, hit his PP with a heavy thing, drown him using a Jerry's Can etc.)

GTA 5 is too brutal. I know killing is the main thing in GTA IV, but GTA 5 got it more realistic. It got more realistic blood and gore.

But still, i like them both

Honestly, I believe that GTA IV and V are both really great games and I think that many features that are present or were remove from the game somehow works with coordination to what type of atmosphere the game wants to convey

for example

-Rockstar originally planned to have car customization in IV, but was scrapped due to fact that it wouldn't really fit Niko's character and the type of life he has in the dark and gritty underworld

and another example

-The driving in GTA V is much more racing-like handling and behavior. This is likely because of the setting and the overall atmosphere it wants to convey

but this is just a theory :)
