I don't know man, Witcher 3 can run on switch and R* games are usually pretty easy to downgrade for lower spec systems.

I mean even RDR2 could probably get a port for switch, dosn't mean it would look good tho




I don't know the specs of switch but even if they are way lower than ps3/360, the same thing can be applied to GTA V.

Slyder stuff prolly relates to Rise FM* or even Dr Dre*, but i like the possible link with yachts, if that's what's actually happening soon then im hoping for mini-yachts that are drivable (but please faster then the sub..) and finally introduce boat tuning.

Honestly i've finally started getting bored with 5/online and i was pretty disappointed by Cayo Perico, i mean sure, neat that after 7 years we are finally getting some 'big' additions in the form of entirely new locations, but meh, there is so much potential with adding new landmass, and imo CP does very little with it.

 

All i really want is a new GTA with a good sp component, and new mp without all the meme vehicles/'tools' (or at the least with much better balance) and if even remotely plausible, the game should support VR (can be only for the sp but would love if it did that for mp too) and anti-cheat for its mp component on PC, i dont care when/where it will take place even the slightest & i'm a firm believer of "we will hear something about the next GTA this year and then get it ~2 years later"

GTAV on Switch is like instant 10 million seller even if it's only the single player. I wonder if they can make the online portion streaming only for Switch but knowing Rockstar it'll be disconnection galore.

I'm not against cloud gaming, but the Switch is not the best place to be doing it. The Wi-Fi chip (or whatever it's called) isn't exactly the best. You need it docked to take advantage of any cloud functionality with an ethernet cable in it, and that kind of goes against it being a hybrid. They'd also be dealing with the issue of storage space, as you can guarantee it would be the largest game on the system. Even if Online was cut to avoid updates that make the size further increase. It makes more sense to bring over the 3D era games in one collection, as those would run well and bring in sales from the portable nature of the Switch. Throw in the stories of VCS and LCS and it's a massive collection of nostalgia in one package.

 

As for the next Online DLC, I've been thinking over how they could use the go karts within their own race series. Power-ups. Try their hand at the go kart racer. Doesn't even need a drifting mechanic. F1 Race Stars never used a drifting system, but still provided a fun karting experience. Build a power-up system that's balanced (hah), and tracks that offer a step up from current stunt races. After the initial go kart races have been fed into the game, they could include the new weapon system in all the other race types as well. Could even implement it into Transform races to make up for the fact there no GTA mode in them. If they really wanted, they could even launch into the world of soapbox racers to bring in more go kart vehicles. That should give around two months of drip feed content.

Somthing is literally always coming until R* announces that GTA Online will no longer recieve new content. I could make a post just saying soon and it would be true considering R* already announced the enhanced edition but it doesn't mean anything.

Yes, tbh at the time I've written this I didn't know then I looked his twitter and it says he's a staff.
@rollschuh2282 Well, he makes mods but he also uploads some game data here, he was one of the guys that confirmed the Cops DLC and confirmed the latest DLC being Literally a new place (island), you got the idea, he's a dataminer like Tez.

This was a couple of years ago not March. After that big troll the whole DLC thread was closed and a new one had to be started.

He is pretty new at it then that's why I didn't know. I still don't 100% believe that the cops and crooks dlc was real and was delayed.

i mean...we had leftovers in the summer special update that even mentioned a cops n crooks pack.

so i think it is pretty much confirmed that it was planned, but the situation in america that happened caused it to get shelved.

which is why summer special was so small.

it basicly had the same amount of dev time as a march update.

Where did you get that from? I was just alluding to the fact that we just have to wait and see, though obviously I think that you're going to be proven wrong when the announcement eventually comes out. That's what I meant.

Who knows? This is the most popular thread for the most current GTA release so it would definitely get our attention, or perhaps GTA Online will get some cross-game rewards that can only be unlocked by playing potentially upcoming special rereleases with Social Club functionality and unlocking certain achievements/trophies in them (my fanboyism of Halo Waypoint from 2009-2012 is showing, any other Xbox players remember that period?).

Developing on ARM (like the Switch) versus x86_64 isn't quite the same either... Not as straightforward as you'd think to just have a fully fledged game running on Switch without some heavy cut corners. I think V SP would be possible though.

RDR2 of course not (in hardware running of course it couldn´t, in cloud as they are doing now with some games of course it could run) and yeah most games on Switch (example, Pokemon Sword/Shield, ARK, FIFA and other games run like sh*t because of laziness and bad optimitation), and wow BOTW looks gorgeous for me BTW... and there are games like Witcher 3 or both Ori games that are not the best editions compared with other consoles but they are good ports made with dedication and not rushing as other companies, even Ori And the Will of the Wisps people say it runs better on the Switch at static 60 fps in comparison with Xbox One and it´s a Microsoft game lol, it´s just to know (or want) to make a game properly on that console, other recent slap in the face for companies like EA was Doom Eternal on Switch, it looks gorgeous on Switch knowing it´s a very limited console in terms of resources, and talking about R* that is the point of this, they made a very good port of L.A Noire there so I guess they know how to develope correcly on Switch. The problem I see it´s GTA Online that old gen consoles (PS4 and XONE) struggles a lot with GTAO but not with story mode, so that could be another reason why they haven´t released it yet if it´s on the shelf...

Maybe I had a brain relapse... but I thought the remakes were "known about" many months ago with certain assets, information or studios being acquired globally. September or October or something... At least the idea was theorised in a few places - but it's a curious thing people only really started talking about it now.

If they do decide to remaster GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas (which seems to be heavily implied with these hints), are we expecting a full on HD remaster using GTA V/RDR2's RAGE engine, or just another 3D era upgrade? If they're remastered using V's engine, all those vehicles assets could likely come over to GTA Online if they decide to stick with the same style and gameplay elements as V. That's easily 100+ vehicles that could very well make their way to GTA Online in a remastered state.

 

Also, where do these possible remasters land in regards to release time frames? One of the hints implies we will hear something sooner than expected (90 days or less), but we know nothing in regards to an estimated release. It'll likely be within the first half of 2021, since Expanded and Enhanced GTA V launches second half of 2021, and I doubt Rockstar wants to take any attention away from their money making machine. So many questions but jack sh*t for answers lol.

The Tegra chip in the Switch has four ARM A57 cores (it's actually got 8 but the 4 "little" cores are disabled) and 256 Maxwell-gen CUDA cores (50% of a GTX 750). It's definitely more powerful than a 360 or PS3. Without any real benchmarks my gut feeling is this has less graphics power than the original XB1 or PS4, but probably faster CPU cores, and I think CPU was a real weak spot on those consoles. The Switch has a 720p screen and they'd have to turn the details down to low, probably, but at such a small size it should still look all right.

 

I don't think I believe the rumors that R* will port this game to Switch, it would be a lot of work to do it, but I think it could and would run just fine if they put in that work.
