The story this time should be a extension of casino story like this....

The oil price drop, the casino get robbed everyday.

The Duggan family cooperate with the Island owner or the island owner borrow money to the casino.

The casino is now running by the landowner with Duggan family name. They installed a room for illegal products under the casino.

Thornton Duggan feeling not well to this and want us to rob the island, when the island owner short of fund, he may sell his shares in a lower price

But even a teaser looks like some high end goverment mission. It must be connected to FIB, IAA or ULP.

Pseudophoenix sargentii

Roystonea regia

Sabal palmetto (Also grow in California)

Strelitzia alba (some specific sort)

Bismarckia nobilis

Okay, seems you are familiar with this topic. So not tropical vegetation.

Still could be out of  San Andreas. The most logical would be Mexico. Noth-West Coast does have the same climate as South California.

 

And my original point was that the VW Bug would match this DLC quite good, which is still the case.

I don't think this is so much a V vs IV issue, as it is a SP vs Online issue. I played the SP campaign many times, all three protagonists since 2013, and the NPC enemies are very easy to kill compared to GTAO. I have also noticed that the NPC enemies in GTA V are not nearly as accurate and deadly as the ones in GTAO. Not being the best at PvP, this is the thing I noticed first thing when I started playing GTAO just under 6 months ago.

Anyone remember the glitch when delivering biker sell missions in a plane off the west coast where you would have an unreachable corona to drop your stuff ??? Could this have been the start of the island development clashing with the main game, I think it was known at the time as the Bermuda triangle

Not my theory, but I'd like to share it

 

My guess is that the we get either one of two symbols at the casino. Either an M for Martin or A for Agent 14. Once arriving if it’s an M, we bump into Martin who’s at the casino because he’s heard of the new renovations and simply wanted to check it out. While speaking about his businesses he mentions he’s heard of “El Rubio” who’s pushing in on his territory and asks us to rob and kill him. Or if it’s an A, agent 14 comes looking for us and finds us at the casino. He asks us for help on bringing down “El Rubio” and his cartel. Essentially the IAA send us undercover to meet, join “El Rubios” Cartel, destroy it from within and get a nice payday at the end.

They also have a lot of unused assets from Guarma. There's a lot of stuff they had to cut from the game, like 99% of it.

3:22 to see different shapes of the island over the years. So they have a lot of modeled terrain that they never even used 
 

Not to mention all of those smaller islands they also had to remove


Speaking of, if the island is placed in a separate lobby / for the heist only - I wonder could they add some new weather effects, visual filters, lightning effects, maybe even volumetric clouds from RDR2?

I'm sure they can make the island feel even more tropical if they want it too.
