Next DLC Speculation Topic Mk X

With the lack of filler updates lately (which I'm ok with, if we are getting bigger/better winter and summer updates) where do we go from an island with a heist on it? I think the next update will be the enhanced and enchanted (whatever they said) update, which to me, might need to be the new biggest update ever, to get players to upgrade to new consoles. And another thing rockstar has to consider, is that getting a new console for the majority of people is near impossible right now. 

 

Also: my prediction is a new island, that acts as our very own mansion island. It makes it so you can customize the island and have outdoor activities without being greifed. 

 

Also also: why don't we see the panther? Only in the camera we do. I was hoping this was a sign to have our own pet animals but we never actually see it

Not really.

Expanding on cayo perico would be something even the "old gen" should be able to handle since they are currently handling it as well as PC (aka. all of them equally bad since the island is a bit unoptemized).

It actually shows up in the cage sometimes during the heist.

I doubt we would see other cities like Sacramento if that is what you're referring to. But more so the rest of the Bay Area and like two towns from Northern Cali.

Ok, that explains why i lag on pc, sometimes. xP

To sum it up: R* overhyped and overexaggerated the marketing for this dlc. xP I wouldn't call the biggest one ever bcz they add a "heist map", there's somethings that would make it up the name, ike 30-35 vehicles and not the usual 20 for a big dlc. And clothing wise, they didn't give us a lot of variety. And as usual, female npc's with those new bikinis, but nope...not for our characters (those new bikinis are just a reskin of the valentines day dresses, but with the lower part modified, still, they are cool. So, my guess, is that they will had them in the next dlc as usual, or not...bcz, what better time to do that than a dlc where you go to the beach like the cayo perico heist?

Wait, what? I thought you came unarmed when doing the Velum approach? Did you buy the Weapon Stash support crew thing?

@Tez2 Please tell us there is something in the files that enables the go-karts to be used in a race. I can't even begin to imagine what they were thinking with these things, lol.

Yea,h that's what I was asking? When you chose the Velum approach/infiltration to do the finale, you must buy the Weapon Stash support crew thing for 10K. Did you do that?

Nothing from what I have seen. There's the possibility of them doing it via their own dev version of the race creator, which may allow them to make go-kart races, but there won't be special icons or series for these races, albeit they could still add in-game texts to feature a new races series via background updates.

 

Actually, I'm not fully sure if the go karts are completely blocked from spawning in, or just disabled from being selected within the creator. My guess is the go karts may be reserved for a small update that could end up as the next update. Maybe, this time they would consider a March/April update? We would have to wait and see.

Yeah it usually shows up for me at night, sometimes it won't be there and the cage will just be open. You can't shoot it or anything tho

As someone who's probably a wicked musical boomer... Broaden your f*cking horizons, dude.

I just finished The Cayo Perico Heist and. OH. MY. GOD.

If you like it, good for you. It has its moments, the finale itself has a great vibe.

BUT. 
I'll never played something so random in GTA ever. Me, my brother and my friend did every single preparation, and I still don't know why. Almost everything You need to rob in this Island apart from Madrazo file, must be rob in use of tools You find on the Island. And of course it makes some logical sense, but I feel like I didn't do a good job prepare myself for this heist. Besides that it doesn't have good script. Seriously. We don't even get to know El Rubio. He throw some dude to panther cage and thats it. Other then that? He's pretty normal. Mini Madrazo is annoying AF. The submarine is useless and it's also annoying. First swim to it, get in, then get out of it, then swim to it again and so on and so on. The only good thing is that you can do this heist solo, which makes the payout quite good and it's easy to do again, thanks to the low difficulty level.
I much prefer Casino Heist, because when I do it, I feel more prepared. It is also better written.

Does the Panther in the cage have any gameplay significance? I noticed that during the heist, it was given an enemy dot on the map the whole time. Also, while messing around in menyoo, I found a cool Cayo Perico Panther jacket that I don't recall seeing in the clothing store.

Now you see, that panther is screaming out to be a reference to The Godfather and the famous bit of tomfoolery that happens in that film... I almost considered giving a shot on my first attempt, but I'm not that cruel, and I don't want to run the risk of the Panther potentially having the same rules as the girlfriends in GTA SA, i.e. they die, they're dead.

Ok, so i noticed that even when someone crashes from the cayo perico heist you can still do it, and the heist will not be cancelled. It happened to me, i crahsed and my friend got f*cked. But hey, follow me in this, bcz i hope i did not fool the system:

The heist was that expensive bootle of 990k. So, me and my friend got secondary profit around 799k, before we reach the main objetive. Then, i crashed. The secondary profit remain the same, that one that me and him catched. When i finished the heist alone, my secondary profit was like 680k +/-, bcz i toke some damage in the escape. The final heist profit was 1.4M. So, i guess the game toke note that i was alone and it readjusted the profit like if i was from the beginning doing the heist alone, bcz each one can only care 400-500k, and if was counted the profit that showed during the heist that me and my friend catched, i would get 1.6M, but i think the game corrected that automatically and didn't let the crash from the server fool the system of the game. Right? If so, good, bcz i wouldn't want to fool the system.
