Oh man I've been pitching this idea for years so I heard it all.

"But every new dlc adds a new location"
"You want them to add a small island? Thats way too much effort!" or "thats not enough effort so its pointless!" 
"They can't do it cause they can't edit world boarders" 
"How you gonna connect it to the ground? It can't just float there!" 
"They can't add it cause lags"
"They can't place it far away and I don't want a new lobby cause I'm lazy" etc

Feels good man. Can't wait for the trailer. Tomorrow perhaps? Probably next week tho.

I mean look at the thing, the airport is as big as LSIA... I feel like its about the size of the one in Sandy Shores. That being said I'd love to be surprised.

dude, you have a highway and town right where you can clearly see a mountain, the island doesn't even have one town on it, let alone 3, it's a narco's private island with a villa, farm, and airstrip, maybe a port village somewhere, but that's it.  you also added a town and port that aren't at all there, there's NO WAY it's even close to the size of Southern San Andreas, it's not even as big as LS, it's probably about the size of Paleto

Dudee i can finally cry Rockstar for Speedboats. It's really meh to seal/speed around the map but the way this island is... We don't really have a speedboat do we? I remember i paid 1 million for a nice looking one with engine out but it was slow as it could get.

That'd be awesome to have him as an actual character as he's the only "Online Protagonist" whose appeared in multiple DLC Main Artworks, (Executives & Other Criminals, Finance & Felony, Import/Export)

The closest Rockstar have come to repeating that is using the same 4 characters for the Heist Update trailers.

Maybe just maybe ''scarface'' has been hinting at us for a long time lol

Dude you can't clarify the size of it besides. It's an island.. Were you even expecting to get an island update yesterday? No. Now what makes you think it's small?

Probably. But some people also think we might get multiple small islands 

One for heists, one for properties etc

Yeah I really hope this dlc adds some super fast boats with rocket boost. Or at least some amphibious planes

Wasn't there a bunch of talk on how the next chapter of GTA would be in Vice City area, but way bigger? Having the whole theme being around Narco's?

Do you really think that R* would waste their tmie making a brand new island just for being used during the heist? Nah.

I think we can get the mansion after something happened to the previous owner, like being decesead or something, in a GTA VC vibe like it happened with the Diaz's Mansion. Or we will need to buy there a mansion and that will be our disguise in order to steal the mansion of the big man there, the cartel boss.

Probably. If they did a brand new island, i think polish the LC from GTA IV will be an easier task. Also...that bring a new question: for how llong they had this hidden in their sleeve? How long it toke them to make this new island?

At first, in low res I was sure thats just sand but yeah, it surly looks like an airport

1 - airport
2,3,4 - possibly small towns
5,6 - possible location of that huge mansion

But that tiny island in the middle is also interesting. A lighthouse perhaps? A prison? 



edit: also some man made structures near 4. and 5. A dock? 

To be honest i think there's some mass of urbanization btw the area northeast of number 5. But what concerns me and it screws the perception of scale is that airfield that seems like to be huge ass f*ck compared to the rest of the island. but also it gives me the idea it's in a higher place than the rest of the island.

Probably we will have a new hanger in that new island. Seems plausible. And also a marina. I can easily see new aircraft and boats coming.

9. If done right, more garage space and a corona at a Ferry or a Titan to teleport cars back to the mainland.

10. Private golf course, tennis court & a bunch of other stuff.

 

It'd be the holy grail of GTA updates.

Really looking back where GTAO was 4 years ago I'm happy it's releasing now. I feel like Rockstar a ideology has matured since the release of Casinos and they are listening to the fans ideas more, rather than adding random sh*t from Saints Row...

What if it's a heist location only, so it doesn't appear in freeroam? That would really piss me off. Would probably put me off playing it. I need new places to explore.

Tbh even if they just finished Mile High and the other constructions would be enough for me since they really are an eyesore imo.

In Mexico, we call American tourists "Güero" which is a regionalism of "Rubio" even though they are not really blond, we simply call them that because their skin is lighter than the average in the country. So someone like those Artworks could well be called El Güero ("El Rubio"). Just saying, my skintone is lighter and I got called "Güerita" everywere despite the fact that I'm a brunette so . . .

No. Because I believe around 2016 was the turning point for me. That's where I started losing interest. Today my interest for this game is at zero. If not minus. I'm happy for those that still enjoy it, but to me it's beyond repair and I just want it to end.

If the island is used for drug trafficking, I could see it having a massive runway for cargo jets. Otherwise I can’t imagine it being any bigger than LSIA, and the island much bigger than the city of Los Santos.

Im still a firm believer of:

- This gen we only get to go there during missions/heist finale (and we likely heist Duggans mansion/compound, plan it from penthouse conference room)

- For the re-re-release they bolt it onto freemode and we can buy a mansion, wich will then have heist room for whatever heist comes next.

The idea that access to the island in Freemode will be seamless is just crazy to me. Have you seen what happens to the game's performance when the aircraft carrier spawns in the map?
