5 if not even 6. I'm always excited when a new GTAO update releases, small or big, or biggest.

 

I'm having thousands of theories and expectations pop up in my head, but there's so many of them that I just can't be disappointed in the end when most of them don't come true, like with every update. Very, very excited.

I totally feel the same way you do bro, i spent thousands hours to make my character as better and enjoyable as i could and it will really suck if we lose it all and we start from 0, its like being banned... I consider mixing actual map with future ones is going to be such a great move from R*, nobody will be disappointed (people like you and me will be happy af and people who want to start from 0 can create a new character and that is all) I also think that creating a massive big world will be a good impact in gaming community and in the upcoming years another companies gonna do the same. R* can take all the time they want to make this possible, they don't lack money (and despite the big amount of hate we read here lots and lots of people play everyday and gonna keep playing for a very long time)

5, new heists are always welcome, new music is always welcome too and even more when its electronic  The only thing that may disappoint me is if the island is not available in free roam

the casino when it came out gave me good money.

technically i am over 110 million, but i always keep iirc 3 million in chips

but not sure.

i could be missremembering.

 

but i am really excited for the update.

a new island could mean a couple leftover files.

which i can´t wait to find.

the datamining is imo better than playing on release day.

However, this does not mean that I am not expecting an update.
I am a car guy who plays GTA for the cars. But at the moment only a few cars have been announced. All of those cars are my favorites, but my expectations tend to be a little low due to the uncertainty of what else is coming.

Mainly because of few things. First of all I'm worried about the amount of vehicles, weapons and clothes. We haven't seen much of any of these and I wouldn't be shocked that in the midst of cutting corners the clothing and weapons would get a big cut (aka we will get almost nothing) and there will be less than 20 vehicles. Marketing has been focusing on the music a lot and that gets me worried as well. You know which one focused more on it's music than on it's content? The same one that gave us Mk2...

Map also feels way too small. The airstrip looks like the one in the Grapeseed which means the map is about the size of post stamp and you'll be able to travel from one end to another in matter of seconds. I wasn't expecting 3 cities and 5 villages or anything, but like slightly bigger would have been better. Oh well it's better than nothing I suppose.

Although I'd be buying a Sub either way putting it as a pay wall for the heists would really suck ass. 

As for the music, I do have my hopes for the Kult FM, slight hope that Still Slipping will have some MSX FM vibes and no hype for the Music Locker, both the club and the station. It seems really recyclable and I'd rather get that Bahama Mama's interior used because it's been sitting in a game for a long time and wasting the space on my hard drive.

Plus it drops at a unfortunate time for me due to my Uni schedule.

 

Hope it will turn to 5 however.

I dont know if you already discussed about this but, from the new trailer we can see a new WEAPONIZED boat plus a new weaponized dinghy . Now  lets assume we can go to that island in freeroam, do you guys think we can expect a new boat workshop on the island or even Los Santos(probably at the docks or terminal) where we can modify and weaponize our boats? And if the above are true and the cayo perico heist isnt the last DLC do you think we can see a naval dlc as the next update?

Well we might see new boats plus the submarine in the new Cayo Perico Heist DLC  , but with " Naval DLC " I expect a new/personal aircraft carrier , new jets , new boats ( which again we will get in the new Cayo Perico Heist DLC ) and in general a more military themed DLC .

Ok, here are my 2 cents on if the island will be freeroamable or not:

 

First of all I'm pretty much certain that it will be.

One reason is that I expect one of the social spaces to be there.

Another reason and in this case the more promising reason is the way they have done the last two heist.

They have been less restricting, than the OG Heists. For doomsday only the preps were in freemode while the setups were instanced. For the casino heist they put the setups and preps into one and added a scope out mission that replaced the old preps.

I expect there to be a scope out for cayo perico aswell and a perfect non restricted way to do that would be for us to go there as a "tourist" like the two chicks in the trailer.

 

What I'm not so sure about, is if it will be on the same map or if it would be a diffrent lobby. Personaly I'd expect (and prefer) it to be a new lobby.

I expect the island to be divided into two parts.

The "public" part with the social space where "everything goes" and the "narco part" that we will rob.

I see two ways of us getting there:

 

1. Rubios private plane/airline that we see in the trailer.

This get us to the "public" socialspace dance party part and will be avilable to everyone.

It may be a requirement to be invited by him so it you may need to own a penthouse to access the vip section of the music locker.

You can technicly get into the non public part but uppon entering/getting spotted the guards will turn hostile similar to the military at zancudo.

 

2. The sub wich is a requirement for the heist will give us the option to actually scope out the objective and start mission to rob it.

 

I'd say that we can aquire a small garage for 2 vehicles of our choice that we can ship to the island for a fee just so we can drive around the public part and maybe a small hangar for 2 aircraft of our choice.

I would not rule out armed vehicles because as rubio said in the trailer "every thing goes" while on the island.

Theory : The island will be guarded by El rubio's cartel and our activities will be so less (and we can't carry our weapons there) and can't do much thing's without there permissions (the cartel will play as cops much likely i guess), we can expect a freemode, The island could be available on a freemode event or something ,

A cautious 4, perhaps? On one hand, heists are certainly the most enjoyable component of Online, and hearing you can do this one entirely solo makes me really excited about all the cool strats and techniques the community is going to discover to maximize your loot; plus, even if Cayo Perico ends up not being available in freeroam by any chance, it is still pretty cool to have an entire new island to visit even if only for a restricted set of missions. At the same time though, this is Rockstar we're talking about, and when an update sounds too good to be true, it usually is? Who knows if they're not going to sneakily introduce some new features or changes that will make the game materially worse in every way.

I wonder if maybe, just maybe, they appropriate the "Multiple gold bars grab" from the trailer to all applicable Grab Minigame missions, including Asset Seizure, Pac Standard and the Casino heist. Probably not, since that will make the casino heist even easier, but I mean... would it kill anyone to let us take at least 2 grabbable objects at a time? Also saying this, the cash should be grabbed in even bigger quantities, just take 6 cash stacks and stuff them in the duffel bag, it's not that hard lmao.

Actually, on that topic, I can't help but wonder: do you guys think we might still get a free vehicle offered as a Christmas gift like in previous years (Hermes in 2017, Clique in 2018, Invade and Persuade Tank in 2019) or will the bonus car replace that entirely? I can't help but be skeptical that Rockstar would be generous enough to offer us a whopping two free vehicles so close to each other.

Yeah, I think we'll still get a free vehicle for Christmas. Hoping for another sports classic! Or even a cool off-roader to go with the theme of a tropical island update.

About a 3. Apart from the heist itself R* haven't shown me anything to be hyped about. No new property, no new garages (allegedly), haven't shown any weapons nor many vehicles. I don't think the update will be bad, I think they just haven't shown enough to be excited about. I'm hoping the 3D model leaks will get me excited last minute.

 

In fact the artwork actually got me more hyped than the trailer, that lambo and the jet look sick.

I am heavily, heavily hoping we get the ability to upgrade boats. However, I'm not holding my breath - it could be just a case of Pegasus vehicles, where we can only choose liveries and that's that. Hope I'm wrong.
