The other reason I’m 100% convinced the island will be in free roam is because Rockstar wants people playing the game. With next generation consoles out and the next gen version of GTA not out until next summer there won’t be nearly as many people playing GTA. That’s why they do things like the Billion dollar heist challenge. Gets people on the game playing. If the island was heist only people would play it a few times and then the numbers would dip drastically. You can guarantee we will be able to travel there in free roam.

I think we will first need to reconnoiter this island. Find out where it is better to go, where there are no sentries, find out the patrol route and time.
And all this will be in an open session as it was with the diamond casino.
I think it will be like this:
1)We arrive by boat to the shore where there is no one, quietly shoot everyone until we get to the desired goal. (Silent and Sneaky).
2)We directly infiltrate the cartel and destroy it from the inside (Big Con)
3)We just arrive in a boss helicopter and shoot f*ck out everybody who even moves. (Agressive)

Wouldnt it be "La Rubia" if it was refering to a female? Words are gendered in spanish

I might be wrong, but seeing that the airstrip on the island is oval, I personally speculate that this is designed to make it easier for large commercial jets to do turn-a-round. If that’s the case, the runways will be as large as the ones in LSIA, hence making the comparison at the bottom more probable.

Honestly, I have no idea about whether this is going to be a populated area, featuring actual towns with pedestrians and traffic, or just an isolated private island - although the trailer's framing certainly suggesting the latter. There are a couple of areas there that *could* feature similar locations to those of Santa Catalina, the airstrip seems to have a close enough layout and the coves could easily host something like Avalone, but with the quality being so low, it's ultimately pretty hard to be sure about anything.

Nice! So new island map means new business to integrate into our existing? Hopefully we get some Barry Seal American made import/export businesses that blend well with our hangers and drug/gun moving, mixed with some Rafa Narco fields/Narco kingpin island we take over as our own (after the storyline missions).

 

I know no one really cares lol.. but I hope in this expansion, we get some new asset that allows us to really store and showcase our car collections. Really thought it was just the beginning of things to come when we got the CEO office garages. Then.. the nightclubs were a disappointment, followed by our penthouse garage specifically or our luxury collection that was just 10 cars. I'd trade in all of my garages to have 1 massive warehouse/Jay Leno garage.

 

Anyone thinking about the new heli/plane/jets we'll get, and armored vehicles??

I think it's going to be an instance but not just for the heist. I think it will be limited to 15 people or less per session. I think it will act as a hub for the heist and for more story missions.
