Well, lately hackers and such occurring way more often that the past, but its always like that : you lose some, you get some. We don't pay the ms or sony services for multiplayer and have to face hackers . Console players are protected under these umbrellas. What to do?!?

Here's an idea, what if we take over the island once we complete the story? It could be either via hostile takeover (think Diaz's mansion) or flat out buying it now that the previous owner is conveniently no longer with us.

 

It'll tick multiple wishlists in one go.

 

1. New exotic locale.

2. New Mansion.

3. Private Island.

4. Private Airstrip with more storage.

5. Private Marina with a boatyard and customizable boats.

6. Private security.

7. New Business, a vertically integrated cocaine business.

8. New Organization, Cartel.

9. If done right, more garage space and a corona at a Ferry or a Titan to teleport cars back to the mainland.

10. Private golf course, tennis court & a bunch of other stuff.

 

It'd be the holy grail of GTA updates.

I expect nothing more than the standard Spring filler, expanding on a race mode or something introduced in the dripfeed of the December DLC.

 

Next-Gen isn't getting released until the October 1st - December 31st window going off that earnings call, so there is room for a Summer update, the question is, will it be a big one (not as big as The El Rubio Heist, of course) or will it just be another LSSS, only this time they'll likely (and hopefully), not be faced with going into emergency development mode with a 2 month rush to strip out an entire update then build a new one on top of what little's left. I'd hope they rework CnC to come off the heels of El Rubio Heist because the one theory I have about this, (granted we don't know anything about the plot and characters yet), this could be a return to working for the IAA to bring down a drug baron or something similar, which if it were coming AFTER an update in which we could play as a bent cop, this could be seen as the big fish of our cop "career".

 

But most importantly, if we're going to see trolley swiping make a 4th appearance (who forgets it appears in the Phantom Wedge special vehicle mission?), I hope they make new version where our chracters sweep the loot into their duffel bag with their whole arm at long last instead of one at a time... or at least get a gag about how delicate the loot is and have Lester crack a joke about why we can't do that.

Welp, as usual, yesterday I tried 20 f*cking heist lobbies until I found one with people who don´t disconnect, who don´t walk like being drunk, that not commite suicide...when I found that one that people was good, we did the elite challenge in the Prison Break heist at the first try, nobody died, the professor didn´t got any damage...sometimes randoms makes me so mad oh my god

Heists with randoms is pure luck man ! Most of the times it sucks, thats why stick to  finding people that want to do heists instead of random invites. Works well in the long run.

I’m afraid the whole island will be a private complex, and that we won’t be able to access it in free roam. To anyone who says that’s not likely because it would be a waste, let’s not forget about all of the wasted interiors in the game already. Wouldn’t be out of character for R*.

I always hated that outside and inside locations are seperated like this. GTA 4's interior system was much better

I had the same thought, the frame of the private complex might be the target of the heist..

 

Who knows though maybe we get mansions on the main island

Interiors are not the same as the Island.

That could be true initially, but I’d expect Rockstar to have several updates revolving around this update. First there will be the heist, then they’ll let us buy property, then they could add other activities to it.

Seeing as it's a narco island, I don't think the cops will chase us in this Heist. Probably an army of angry, armed cartel members on boats and choppers.
