Might be a real deal, maybe he talked with Lamar one time (even tho he didn't wanted to) and he directed him to Lester, wich Lester took contact with Bogdan, and so on prepare to rob him, would maybe explain the Submarine, or im just too creative with my Unrealistic Ideas

That'd actually be really hype, ESPECIALLY if any CnC storyline missions we were supposed to get related to a drug gang of somekind which turned out to be nothing but a drop in the ocean of what is El Rubio's operation... just like how the Casino update was a prequel/part 1 to the Casino Heist, only for 2020, the gameplay and sandbox the two major updates offered were WAY more diverse than just be casino/high roller focused.

 

Just remember though, that Gerald text isn't what it was originally going to be, it was originally more generic about things going on in Chamberlain Hills, with no mention of "hard times coming". Also, that text was the introductory text to the new missions that popped up after you logged in and played in freeroam for a few minutes, not after you completed all 6 missions.

Possible but it seems like a huge stretch. Gerald was always involved with drugs from the begging. And almost every pack of story missions ends with something like "i'll be in touch when I have more work for you"


But the "Word is we got hard times coming"? That sounds more like a teaser for the canceled CnC theme.That makes more sense than Gerald being connected to some drug lords on a different island.

Minor incident on the 25th of May this year, created mass societal awkwardness, where corporations were suddenly following the trend of abolishing the concept of the police and law enforcement from reality, an internet meme of "All Dogs Go To Heaven, except those class traitors in Paw Patrol" getting shared unironically kinda proved the extreme level some people wanted to take it. Further complicated once more details were leaked, details so critical no one could be seen ignoring them.

 

But given how late the plug would've been pulled we're hoping that the leads have been able to make T2 see sense and simply put the assets for such an update on ice for 2021, which would work considerably in R*'s favour, not having to create a BIG summer/December-esque update from scratch startng January and get it out early enough so there's still a considerable gap between release and the October 1st starting point for the release window of the next-gen version... rather than sending all that time, money and hard work to the recycle bin.

Now why do I think that? Aside from potential prep mission spaces, what's the biggest complaint about NIghtclubs from After Hours? There's nothing to do in them... so what if instead of multiple players all fighting to get the lobby into THEIR club with nothing to do in it, Rockstar creates a single shared "nightclub-esque space" which DOES have all the stuff people considered missing from TBOGT, like Champagne Battles, Group Dances, possibly even Casino Security work for Penthouse owners as an expansion to the Casino Work.
