Next DLC Speculation Topic Mk X

I still stand by the meme I posted yesterday, in all likelihood we aren't getting much info besides maybe a few mentions here and there in next week's newswire just like what happened with most DLCs in the past. 

 

They already published the big article about it after all and Rockstar is actually fairly predictable in the amount of info (Or lack thereof) they publish anyway.

Yeah that´s true, but we need some more info. Like what´s inside the casino, new changes on the map maybe could also be?, etc... I mean sure we had a lot of info nearly a month before the update and was cool!! But we are so near to the DLC launch and we need more info, like all principal changes, heist structure, map accesibility...obviously they don´t need to explain everything, but some more info to make things clear...should be cool and well...more communication by R*, that they don´t usually do now

Again i've been long enough around here that at this point it's almost a cycle really and it usually goes this way:
 

1. Rockstar barely releases any info on the next DLC no matter how big.
2. The entire GTA community complains about the lack of info on the next DLC for the remaining one to two weeks.
3. Rockstar releases the DLC.
    

I'm sure that list will bring flashbacks for the people that have been around here for a while too.

Ok soo... if no news today:

8th - small teaser, 1-2 pictures with short description (of either the island, the heist, the submarine or the reward vehicle) 
10-11th - full description and trailer 

if no trailer by that time then I guess they could drop it on monday or tuesday just before release

Most dlcs get at least two articles. The "coming soon" announcement post teaser and later a big article with a full trailer where they describe everything with more details.

So no, we still waiting for the "big article" post.

Patience , here's hoping : stay tuned on 7-9th December for a trailer with cutscenes.

Nah I mean they should give some more info, it´s as a very big DLC so you have to give a little more info than other times, they gave more info with the Diamond Casino & Resort DLC for example, it was the last massive DLC for the game

There was about the same amount of info (So barely any as I said) compared to the very similar one we got for the Cayo Perico DLC: https://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/61795/the-cayo-perico-heist-coming-december-15-to-gta-online

What probably happened is that they originally planned to release the DLC a week or two after but couldn't do it due to some issues so they delayed it to almost one month later.

The "big articles" you are talking about were all posted the same day the DLC itself was actually released, one example is for the Diamond Casino DLC you just posted (Which was published December 12th with the name "The Diamond Casino Heist Now Available" lol) and we got one as well as the one for the After Hours DLC here: https://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/60501/GTA-Online-After-Hours-Out-Now
 

Gunrunning was an older DLC and they have clearly changed ways (For the worse in my opinion) when it comes to giving info about the new DLCs since that's exactly what happened with After Hours and The Diamond Casino Heist too.

So if you guys are waiting for info coming out when the DLC itself releases I guess that's good for you but otherwise you will probably be disappointed.

That's a bit debatable really, they do seem to stick to a certain pattern every few years.

No... not "all of them"...  it usually goes like this

- "coming soon" announcement post
- short description + release date + teaser trailer (for big dlcs) 
- "big article" either on release date or a week before/couple days before along with the full trailer


So the question is, will they give us a trailer before release date or not.

You can't just take one dlc as example and say "all of them, every time, no exceptions"

Again my point is that in the last few years they have pretty much only released the "big articles" the day the DLC itself was released.

Guess we'll see but still it's definitely looking that way for this one too.

Not really, especially with how this year played out. The only pattern they loosely followed was with the teasing of Cayo Perico which mirrored The Diamond Casino, but even the Diamond Casino didn't get a full trailer until a week before release, while Cayo Perico got a full out trailer almost a month before.

So no, they aren't really following a pattern, especially with the chaos of how this year unfolded.

The difference between this update and as in the past, is that we received a small provocation, and right after that a trailer, with description and what surprised us the most, we received a release date, much earlier than usual. This was different, and may mean no more information, until launch!
