AIcatraz Posted November 15, 2020 Share Posted November 15, 2020 Greetings, I want to talk about TBOGT and how it isnt as enjoyable as TLAD or the base game, lets begin: (Please note that this is my opinion, so dont attack me or anyone here for having an opinion) First of all, I dislike how limited the missions can be for you if you want to get a golden star, you cannot watch cutscenes or explore, it really throws me off, i really wanted to explore mission only areas without having to replay the mission again just to get a gold star, The same thing can be said for GTAV but thats a story for another day I also dislike it a bit by how difficult it can get, i struggled getting a gold star for the golf mission with Rock, as golf is boring and i dont like playing golf, The guns you get at the start are pretty weak, Be it a P90, Combat Pistol and Sticky Bombs, This also brings into another problem i want to talk about, I dont like how unbalanced weapons are in TBOGT, you have weapons ranging from the P90, an "advanced" assault rifle which is significantly worse than both the original ARs, and then we have the beast AA-12, firing automatically and spewing out shots faster than john marston shooting his rounds with Deadeye, The AA-12 is really unbalanced, and this can also be said for some other weapons Not to mention, TBOGT also had almost 0 story, dont get me wrong, i like Luis but he just seems like the Macguffin (triggering an order of events, like in the Museum mission) You also dont get anything explained to you, you drop in as Luis and you have to talk to Dessie, Slap the Blogginator, Manage clubs, Cagefight, etc, and the list goes on, you see what i mean? TBOGT has various features that could be implemented to TLAD; Like the guns, Cage-Fighting, etc. However that is not valid as TBOGT came out a year later than IV and TLAD In conclusion: TBOGT is great, i like the drug wars and weapons, club management can be fun too, but i dislike how forced the missions are, as you cannot explore too much, The weapons could do a rework, and the story could definitively have a re-write, I hope i didnt offend anyone, but as i said this was my opinion, Thanks for reading! Lemoyne outlaw Posted November 16, 2020 Share Posted November 16, 2020 sure it may not be perfect. but i still enjoy it. i would rather get a bogt quality story dlc then get none at all. and we know how rockstar just abandoned the story dlcs. i think bogt was just meant to be some good fun. adding more crazy weapons and vehicles. and the nightclubs. we already got the dark and gritty games with the original 4 and tlad. so i had no problem when they made it more lighthearted than the other two. I look at that and think "This was the origin for the BS medals in GTA V?". Other than that, I like the game for what it is. thebestdude Posted January 2, 2021 Share Posted January 2, 2021 hi, i dont like the story of TBOGT so much because of the missions which are too restricted and also the story felt a bit inferior, but they are many things improved like graphics are back to bright like gta sa vc 5 etc, and also there are other things added like parachutes, you can also visit to many clubs as the game is based to clubs and also many mini games and also those underground fights and golfing was introduced too i really like the pink theme of the game too so there is no reason to hate it like its the worst game actually it was a good idea of rockstar to make the game in this theme and less things because players might have been bored with the same theme and stuffs because i feel tht gta 4 and the tlad were almost the same with different story and theme JaeDan 101, piciszavage and Payne 3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I don't mind R* giving people some extra objectives to complete, but the aesthetic is awful and distracting. I just want to get back to what I'm doing instead of being graded like I just done a high school exam or something. -Not being able to buy clothes. I'm sorry, but why? This would've been a great opportunity for R* to introduce a new clothing shop that wasn't in GTA IV. -The fact that Luis is always a pompous arsehole to Armando and Henrique like he's really better than them lol. We get it dude. You're Captain Downtown. Other than that it's a solid 8.5/10 experience. Not on the same level as GTA IV and TLAD, but still pretty good when it comes to core gameplay looking beyond a few bizarre design choices.
