Amit009
I started collector role today, found bottles and flowers easily but then I opened the map for Arrowheads, after spending nearly hour or two in searching only using eagle eye, I found out that it's too tough to find arrowheads without metal detector. So I want to know what items don't require a metal detector, so that I can avoid them till I reach rank 5 in collector role and buy a metal detector? roggek
Arrowheads, coins, fossils and lost jewelry is what you find with the metal detector.
KingpinRCR
You can find everything without a metal detector but some places Are metal detector only. The maps usually require a metal detector. you need to look for the golden glow in eagle eye to find little humps of dirt wich you can dig. Jeanropkes map can help you find these spots. edit: fossils can indeed only be found with a metal detector. Krommer
Coins are sometimes not metal detector, but are just the yellow sparklies on a "mound" on the ground instead (same with arrowheads, whatever.) I never noticed that fossils were not in "mounds", but only metal detector (those are often by the "shore" of a water area, making it easier.) Jewelry and what not might be in a box, hidden partially, so again it would be eagle eye and seeing the "sparklies." So I find it best to alternate, if you are just going along randomly (eagle eye too, while carrying the metal detector, and not using that jeanropke map/whatever.) Yeah, if using that Jeanropke map you find a lot that are metal detector and a lot that are mounds where you just see with eagle eye. If I recall, it doesn't clarify which one it is when you look at the indicator for that item (instead, it might just say "under the clothesline." The indicator, on the Jeanropke map, might clue you in to if it is neither such as "hidden in a box in the wall", then you get near there and see (SEARCH)/whatever. If using the Jeanropke map, don't forget to also enable "random"/whatever. Those might be a lot of the ones you'd missing (can be coin/arrowhead/what not.) I started out using maps, from Madam Nazar. Eventually I found out about that Jean Ropke map, then I finally got an Amazon Fire 10 on sale so now I have that thing next to me while playing RDO on my Xbox Now I only buy a map from Madam Nazar if it is "use 3 collector maps" as a daily. You level up so fast in that role, I'm sure you are at least level 5 in it by now and have the detector Edited November 19, 2020 by Krommer
