Meter bar overused

One thing I notice about VCS missions is that they use the meter bar alot. Its either your cars health or damage to another car, fire heat, some annoying NPC's health bar that you have to babysit etc.

 

its probably a replacement instead of having a time limit.

 

But compare it to the other 3D GTA games and you will see they only used it on occasional missions.

 

IMO I find it annoying, whats your thoughts?
