i have a feeling  we might see a similar map to five and get two states . 

one is florida state vice city  and the everglades one half of the map . 

 

and the the other is a state like blaine county  with small towns mountains forests wilderness etc based on various states beside florida georgia alabama etc  

 

it makes sense based on the leaks and add the fact if its a moderate sized tittle i doubt the map will be any bigger then five which to be fair is still a big map even by todays standards seven years later

just to correct you, GTA V is all set in one state, but I 100% understand what you are trying to say.

GTA V's location works well because it offers just about everything; a massive city, a desert, mountains, a long coastal highway, etc.

that it generally how California is in real life, if we go by how Florida is in real life, well you nearly lose all what GTA V has.

no desert, mountains, steep roads, etc.

 

I would assume they would have to go the extra mile to add something such as the Everglades, and it could feature a small desolate town similar to Sandy Shores in GTA V.

the Everglades is right behind Miami in real life so it's not anything out of the ordinary, then they can add another city on the opposite side from where Vice City is, similar to how Paleto Bay is in GTA V.

the town being based off Naples of course.

This is the year of gta v enhanced (PS5/Xbox Series X).
The announcement of gta 6 would overshadow it completely.
Forget about an announcement in 2021.

Well, about 60% of V's map is absolutely useless. These mountains offer nothing, some not even a place to hike. And they aren't pretty to look at either. I enjoyed SA's Los Santos way more. I loved the city aswell as the many towns out in the country. V doesn't have that. Also, I could have very well done it without that "out-of-nowhere-theres-a-mountain"-monstrosity that is Mount Chilliad.

 

So I for one am happy about no mountains, deserts or a highway surrounding the entire map which makes it seem smaller than it actually is. All they have to do is make the Everglades ENORMOUS, dense and most importantly atmospheric, with 4 or 5 very small towns sprinkled all across. Also I feel like a GTA needs two big cities. One gets boring pretty fast.

completely agree.

however, there will be plenty of people to complain that the map isn't as diverse as GTA V's was.

but, yes GTA: San Andreas's map was obviously better, featuring 3 massive cities, one being from an entirely different state itself.

even though Vice City is amazing, yes I think it certainly does need a second city to accommodate it. either something along the lines of the Florida Keys or Naples.

Someone here is watching some concepts  I also watched bunch of them and it feels amazing, that we got to the point where you can mix real life and game footage and it's doesn't look very weird. For example just watch this on OLED screen

Just don't see GTA V "Enhanced" being a big deal (when there's backwards compatibility) and seems like R* doesnt think it's either, since they hired originally third-party studio to make it and put low effort on the announcement

 

So far it's just the biggest PR blunder they've had (and a one they can fix by announcing VI soon after -> announcement will increase V sales as people will want to play it in the meantime)

 

The main reason why the "Enhanced" is happening is just to attract more people to the next gen & help the transition, so that it's 100% sure there will be enough owners when VI comes out

Let's pray that GTA V E&E is not released in October (or further than that), so GTA VI announcement will more likely to happen this year.

We don't know for sure about that part. I mean that Rockstar Dundee is making the new version. 

I personally believe that they do, while all the others studios collaborate to make Vi and V dlc, it's just nothings really confirmed.

I have said this before, mid year is out of the ordinary to me and indicates conflicting schedules. They did say second half but that also shows uncertainty. The announcement was obviously rushed. They got something else planned but whatever that actually is, who knows.

I see your point and I agree with it, even for RDR2's PC version, Rockstar made 2 separate trailers, with the E&E trailers, they just kinda slapped together a few older trailers and put a new song on it.

Though this might just be a personal bias because we all want the announcement so badly.

Fiscal year 2022 means October 1, 2021 to September 31, 2022.

More like April 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022. This fiscal year (2021) ends on 31st March 2021.

we have yet also to receive a proper trailer for it, even though yes it is technically the same game, they poured out several different trailers for the original enhanced version for the PS4 and Xbox One.

I would assume we would get something that showcases what exactly is new or being added at the very least.

las venturas or san fierro i doubt will ever return maybe gta 7 if we want to look that far away  

 

of course im not saying the gta 6 map will be the same to the current one .  

 

im just going off the scouting letter leak which most in the community consider to be legit . 

the woman in the podcast said florida and other southeast states so i would think that means rockstar want map diversity like i said in a previous post everglades is only swamp which is not 

 

great for open world so take a few areas like georgia and alabama  one or two states other maybe condensed parts of those states together into small towns  and mountains like blaine county makes sense one for map diversity and online rockstar has been able to get seven years out of online of the map diversity and size of five.

God, I need to get off this forum. Time flies when I'm not actively participating here lol

 

Had a 3 hour discussion with a buddy back in March (when the preacher was here) about our hopes for the game and what we imagine it will be like online compared to V. Then when there was no announcement, we didn't talk or think about it again until November. That's half a year waiting-time that just went by just because I didn't care about it. Fascinating.
