Let's take it even further. This site got updated engine today and looks better now (better graphics) and GTA VI will also get updated engine and better graphics so it must mean, that GTA VI is coming today. /s

They just added a barrier between Story mode and online mode, But you still need to download all the 100+ gb if you playing just online .  Standalone version is just a waste of money

I'm not saying that. I want to know does RDO standalone appear as a downloadable content under RDR2 in Rockstar Launcher or it appears as a different game like GTAV?

5 dollars price is just for a limited time, Rockstar will revert the prices on RDO Standalone on all platforms after feb 2021 i guess

It's appears as a different game but it's linked with Story mode (rdr2), in order to play RDO you still need to download full RDR2 files

It's separate title in Rockstar Launcher. I'm not sure how it exactly works if you have RDO and you want to unlock RDRII SP.

Just look at those poor people trying to enjoy CP2077 on prevgen, CDPR destroys itself without any support. Rockstar being Rockstar nowadays, but  at least their games can run above 15FPS on a basic PS4/XO.

 

It's easy money for board members and management in short term, however people won't forget that technical mess after the embargo's lifted. CDPR lied for short term gains. I'm not spitting at artists/devs/writers, they're victims too.

 

Nice design, kudos to whoever did that.

It's way, way worse, than GTA IV was when it was released for Xbox 360/PS3 and you could see low framerate especially in PS3 version but in CP2077 frame-rate on base PS4/X1 consoles is just ridiculous. 15 FPS, not even "cinematic experience"... I don't know what they were thinking, that they are better than Rockstar which didn't release new GTA on these consoles? There's no way, that it will be ever fixed. Any person familiar with tech who saw this game back in 2018 knew, that there's no way, that it will work on PS4/X1.

Cyberpunk 2077 should have just been a next-gen only game. I know people will say it should run on those consoles, and yes, they may be right. But the game was never going to live up to expectations on that old, terrible hardware.

Some people argued when I was saying 2 years ago, that there's no way, that GTA VI will be released for PS4/X1. Now these people can see what kind of disaster it would be, in fact, it would be even bigger. Cyberpunk is early next-gen game that someone decided to release on old gen consoles.

In Cyberpunk 2077's case, releasing it on old gen consoles was a decision made with profitable intentions - obviously. They could have solely released it on the new consoles and PC only, but I doubt their sales would be anywhere near what they are now. CDPR used to be a PC-only developer, but to get into the AAA realm they had to diversify their release platforms to fund their higher budgets. 

 

At this point, it's obvious that GTA 6 will only be releasing on the new consoles (and hopefully PC at a later date, as per usual).

R* managed to do it with RDR2 though. I don't remember RDR2 being a mess upon release that Cyberpunk 2077 seems to be on the same hardware.

The crashes of RDR2 on PC was fixed just recently in this year. So for many months, RDR2 was a mess on a hardware that wasn't outdated. And let's not talk about the patches.

Witcher 3 was not a smooth launch until it was patched. Cyberpunk 2077 has hope. Whereas the PC version of GTA IV still rots to this day.

You mean Bug Rise Unstoppable 2?A game that involved with 3000 people in development,but being "supported" by maybe around 25 unfortunate after less than one year?

Yeah, but I don’t game on PC so I was obviously talking about the PS4 and XB1 where the root of the problems are for Cyberpunk 2077 and that’s what the guy I quoted was talking about.

 

RDR2 had its bugs and glitches, but on equivalent hardware (PS4 and XB1) it wasn’t broken, unplayable like the reports are suggesting for the PS4 and XB1 versions of Cyberpunk 2077. CDPR are very fortunate that the PS5 and Series X/S just launched with BC as the game seems the fare a bit better otherwise they’d be shot ducks in water.

Weren’t the PS4 and Xbox One outdated even upon release? I am actually glad that they didn’t pull a GTA 5 and downgrade the game for outdated hardware. It’s almost become a meme to bash CD Projekt now even though they’re one of the few AAA developers with consumer-friendly practices. I suspect the Cyberpunk 2077 hate is just a fad. Why are people bashing such a generous company?

It is simple.

Rockstar: decent management, not-so-consumer friendly

CDPR: very consumer friendly, bad management

 

Every game companies have flaws and things that fans hate.
