things that we can be pretty sure about GTA 6:

 

-it WILL have a singleplayer mode, for those who are worried

-there is absolutely no chance it will flop in sales

-it is not going to be released for PS4 and XONE

-it will have cars and guns and bikes and cars

-it will be epic gamer moments #63

My concern is that we'll get a cutdown version of the single player experience so that they can shift assets to online, the casino being open in online but closed in single player V is the kind of crap i'm worried about.

Jeez it's March already? I remember March last year as yesterday, we were all going grazy because we thought we were close to the GTA VI announcement... Time flies.

I'm not suggesting it will be another Cyberpunk-style gigadisaster, and I do agree that if you have to choose a studio to rely on for high standards of AAA quality then Rockstar is still (usually) one of the safest bets.

 

That doesn't mean that it isn't without huge risk. It's an investment of hundreds of millions of dollars, years of work and re-work, going out into a games market that almost exponentially expects everything to be bigger and better and more impressive. I don't think anyone here wants to see it go wrong of course, but also the stakes have never been higher in all kinds of ways.

the reason i want a gta set in 80s or 90s is cuz i don't want tech / hacking to be a part of heist and missions it's just whack and over used in Gta online . Best heist in gta is three leaf clover cuz its simple just like Heists in HEAT . The high tech hacking bull sh*t is just not interesting.  What do u guys think ?

I have no knowledge about game development but maybe the scope of VI was bound to the tech limits of last gen consoles and then they got the devkits for ps5/xsx so they decided to restart some parts of the development. Also this is why they might have prioritized GTA V E&E so they can get familiar with new gen consoles.

By this point, the announcement of GTA VI feels like the end of the pandemic. You know that is probably going to happen someday, but you just can't see happening.
