GTA 6 Speculation & Discussion [Part 5]

Anyone can predict anything, at this point. It's been so long that at this point we're bound to start hearing things soon. It's been almost 8 years since V. We're getting GTA V E&E this year, and there are rumours of a Trilogy remaster. So yeah, anyone can say Rockstar Games fans are going to have a good year.

Lol depends on how long we are talking about.

I would trade a maximum of 1.5 - 2 years of delay for the remasters as long as they are legit remakes with 2021 graphics.

 

At the end of the day i always replay Rockstar titles every couple of years so having more games is better for me.

 

On a different note it's crazy how every couple of months i unwillingly stomach a new release date for Vi.

 

At first it was a 2018 project in my mind (before the announcement of Rdr ii) 2016 rolls and we get the rdr 2 trailer. Bittersweet moment. Yeah we are getting a rdr sequel but you can kiss Gta Vi goodbye for a couple of years...

Then the project americas video released where they mentioned a 2020-21 release date...

Then it was the 2020 Jason Schrier article. So i moved my prediction/expectations to a summer 2021 announcement and a late 22 release date... (I still believe in a 1 year announcement-release period)

 

But then they announced V for the ps5...

So i swifted my expectations to a 22 announcement 23 release date..

 

But now it seems that new projects have emerged and also got delayed (yesterdays ps5 gta v video not having a release date) so i am moving my prediction to a 2023 announcement/2024 release... Also don't forget that corona is still running wild..

 So i am starting to "consume" the fact that Gta vi will probably get a release in 2025...

 

Every year i visit an island for vacation. Every single summer i remember myself chilling at the beach and suddenly remembering Vi.

 

Every new years eve i look at my girl in the eyes, and say " this is the year of the gta vi announcement. I know it"

 

She laughs at me. "You say that every year. It's NEVER coming out" and she doesn't know anything about videogames.

 

 

I swear to god i am not making this up. That's how desperate i am.

I sincerely do not believe we will get a trilogy remaster.  R* aren't ones to rehash a game over and over, I mean ones that don't have shark cards.

I'm still not convinced we're getting remasters, to be honest. If we are, and they're delaying the release of GTA VI, I'd rather we weren't. If they release the remasters I'm likely not rushing out to get them any time soon. They'd probly be the type of game where I wait for a deep, deep sale and still won't play them until there's a time when there's absolutely nothing else on the market that interests me.

Why do you assume, that trilogy remaster = delay of GTA VI?

To be honest I kinda miss the times when one gonnae post would create a havoc. Those were the fun times.

I think people are taking the "One game at a time" thing too literally, Rockstar has enough people (R* Dundee) that can remake the trilogy without R* north having to work with them much, hence not delaying GTA VI by that much.

Something about 6 more weeks maybe? Cuz with groundhog day, if the groundhog sees his shadow, then winter is extended by 6 weeks.
