I don't think R*'s marketing department has the ability to read the room, all that speculation for something new and they release a trailer for Online content that's been out for months. Trollstar more like.

Kids born in 2013 will be 11 years old by the time GTA 6 comes out. And those kids are learning how being mean is bad, and how we should call people Xe/Xer.... could you just imagine how they react when they see a stripper getting blown up by a rocket launcher in the middle of Miami (Assuming its set in Vice City).....

 

Also, Take Two doesn't realize that they can make money on BOTH GTA 5 Online AND GTA 6 Online. And GTA 6 would bring in MORE money than GTA 5, based on hype alone.

This is why I am saying we should be worried. Rockstar and take 2 DOES NOT CARE anymore. As long as GTA 5 Online is making money, they WONT release GTA 6.

 

They think it will destroy the money machine that is GTA 5 Online.

I remember we all thought GTA 6 was going to be announced in 2019 because, it took 4 years to make GTA 4, took 5 years to make GTA 5, so it will naturally take 6 years to make GTA 6, with an announcement and an eventual delay 2 years before release, so it would be announced in 2017/2018 with a release in 2019/2020. 

 

Then RDR 2 Came out, and we said SCRATCH THAT, we should have an announcement in 2020 (2 years after RDR 2 released) with a release date 2022/2023 (8-9 years of development).

 

then it was announced GTA 5 Online made a sh*t ton of money

 

THEN GTA 5 E&E got announced for Second Half of 2021 during summer of 2020, so we said "OK NOW GTA 6 will get announced In spring of 2021 with a release date of 2024!

 

Then it was announced one of the founders of Rockstar Games left, this comes after the Lead developer of the GTA Series was fired (GTA 6 would be the first that wasn't worked on in the series by him)

 

THEN we changed to the announcement to Fall of 2021 to Spring/Fall of 2022, with a release date SOMETIME in 2024 through 2026

 

Then it was announced that GTA 5 Online has had the highest player count since 2013

 

THEN ON TOP OF THAT, GTA 5 E&E HAS BEEN DELAYED

And GTA losing audience share is the most absurd thing I've heard in quite some time. What is eve competing with GTA? Just on Steam GTAV nets 120-130k ccu everyday which is insane.

This is why I am saying we should be worried. Rockstar and take 2 DOES NOT CARE anymore. As long as GTA 5 Online is making money, they WONT release GTA 6.

They made over 900 million dollars alone from this year and it was the 2nd best year for gta 5 in sales believe me buddy their cash flow is fine

Gta 5 is beating cyberpunk by 10 times player wise on steam and consistently the top 20 sold games for 7 years straight

RDR2 has more or less same ccu compared to Cyberpunk which is insane considering it came out an year after initial console release and also 1 month after PC release.

The thing is we live in a different time. People these days rather play one game for years and years than buying a new one immediately, this is the reason why gta 5, csgo, and Minecraft is still the top games even though they came out in early 2010s, and let’s not kid ourselves gta 5 got another 3 years, and if rockstar really want to stretch it out they can add San fierro or las venturas, but even then they don’t have to, because gta online has no competition. Think about it there no game on the market that offers the same experience as gta online and take two and rockstar knows it. I could see them releasing gta 6 in 2025-26 tbh

gta 6 is confirmed to be in development  by one of the top journo in the industry so lets halt that nonsense. 

not to mention numerous resumes having 6 on them and two leaks  scouting letter and project americas that for me have basically been proven real so 6 will come. 

 

its a bitch the wait yes rockstar are a frustrating company yes no communication hardly with fans. 

 

but there are the best for me in terms of open world games because they take there time to perfect there worlds with depth and scale. 

name me a bad game there have brought out since gta 3 . 

at least they dont rush a game and release it half assed like cyberpunk or basically release the same game over and over like assassins creed games .

Why do we need GTA VI? Maybe because GTA is the most celebrated franchise (not only in video games) in the world? Maybe because it is the most prolific of the entire business?
