They will be doing Red Dead Remastered & then they should do Jack with Red Dead Revenge.

No man that would suck by that point the west is over that's the 1910s during WW1. We need to go back to when the west was at it's peak. 1870s-1880s or maybe even earlier to the 1840s-50s during the California gold rush and the Mexican-American War because if we get one more game with "The west is dying" again for the third time I'll go f*ckin crazy.

i would agree for me the rdr series is finished its not like gta where you do a different story every game rdr 1 and 2 told a story perfectly and finished it . 

but if they another one it should be a prequel different story like rdr revolver set right in the middle of the old west

Good point as well. Also, in the event that it took place in wwii we would probably end up with those war missions like mafia games had. A lot of people like those games & I got into them slightly & enjoyed parts of II & III, however I was not a big fan of the flashbacks.

I think this sh*t is just them looking for people to make the GTA 5 enhanced trailer? I apologise if this has been discussed here before but apparently GTA 3's (and I believe VC too) source code got reverse engineered. The PC version now supports modern APIs and doesn't fumble the widescreen support, and has some restored effects from the PS2.

It would be crazy if LCS and VCS got reverse engineered too. They did say that was what they are gonna work on now so fingers crossed.

Said this over at Reddit but it's a permanent job listing, it's not for any game specifically. It will be for any and all games they currently are supporting at market for online content and screen captures for newswire posts. They will also be working on any unannounced titles that they have in the pipeline that will need marketing. They will also be used for internal showcases and pitches for things that the public never sees. Basically if you are aware that Rockstar is a games company this kind of listing should not come as a surprise to you. Just part of a company that makes video games. It does not confirm nor deny anything that is yet to be announced.

It's at the point where, when GTA VI is finally announced people will retroactively bring up the most recent time that sort of job listing is found, and say: "See, it actually was for GTA VI" Ignoring all the times it wasn't. These jobs have been posted for the past 2 years. Likely longer, but we weren't doing much speculation, as RDR2 was about to release.

Yeah it's hilarious to me that people think that they are posting job listings for content capture artists and video editors specifically for GTA VI purposes. When realistically that will probably fill only a small percentage of their time throughout the year.

right? this thing is going since 2015, when Rockstar cancelled the DLC, and until this day people are still bitter towards Rockstar because of that

Yeah I'm sure Rockstar will never do story mode dlc ever again. The epilogue in RDR2 could easily have been story dlc but they bundled that in with the game. What if they'll do the same with GTA 6?

It's gonna have to be a beyond amazing for them to make up for 10 years of no game and mediocre, souless online updates.

Expanded and Enhanced is the last hope for the ppl to receive a perfect SP story dlc , most of all story dlc's were scrapped and later added to online , R* is just starting to add Single player experiences to Online now

I wouldn't hope for SP DLC for GTA V. People would be pissed off, if anything, Thata 7 year old game which is already considered to be milked to death gets an SP DLC but there'd be no undead nightmare 2.

And I don't even mind their focus on online.

 

For me to really care about a story, the rest of the game (like free roam) has to add up aswell. V lacked so many things in terms of free roam and activities, the missions were the only thing you could really do.

RDR2 on the other hand was fantastic. I wanted to play the missions to progress in the story, to find out what happens next. I cared about the characters, I loved free roaming with Arthur and to just get lost in the atmosphere of the game.

 

I hope VI has that as well. That feeling of actually wanting to take care of your character and explore the world with him.

 

To be honest, since GTA IV it has been "one step forward and two steps back".

GTA SA had it all. A fun story, big map, many things to do, good atmosphere.

GTA IV lacked the big map, but had probably the best story so far. You could still do some activities, but character customization was almost completely gone. So was car tuning, buying properties and some other stuff.

GTA V once again had a big map, businesses to buy and some new activities and customization options. But it lacked the good story, likeable characters, enterable buildings and things like eating. Buying real estate still hasn't made acomeback.

 

So for every cool nice thing we got, we had to lose some cool nice feature from the previous game.

 

I really really really hope that VI will be the ultimate GTA. No cuts. Everything in it and much more new stuff. And with 8 years and an entire console generation between games, I expect nothing less.
