I just play other games. Which is why when a Watch Dogs comes along or any other open world crime game thats similar I get excited and hyped for those and don't dismiss or bash them. Are they R* quality no they're not but they give me something to play in between the long ass waits for GTA titles.

Guys don't forget what Jason Schrier said on his podcast:

Gta Vi is a late 2022 (unlikely) or 2023 project.

Like him or not he is the only 100 percent reliable source with evidence to back it up.

 

So yes 2024/2025 is a stretch.

That means no crazy details, like horseballs in RDR2, etc, I can't see a better way for them to make great games within 8 years atleast. Again, details like that are what makes Rockstar how they are too. It's sad that we have to wait 10+ years and pass time waiting to play a damn game which is an entertainment product made to pass time lmao.

 

I dont like this kind of thinking , its regressive , you said it yourself that the little details is what makes Rockstar the best, If we dont get those things that make Rockstar what they are than we will have an other dev company just like all others and that is a loss not a gain , if it takes time to create a game of Rockstar s standards than be it, we wait.

Rockstar can shove GTAO up their as*es. No update can make me play that again.

 

It's not that the new content sucks (although it kind of does). It's too old. I know every little corner of that map, I own everything I wanted to own (and even more I didn't). 

I've had more than enough of Los Santos.

It's not really that reliable because he doesn't know the release date either. That line in the podcast is just a ballpark guess that's easy to make knowing the game is in development and hasn't been announced yet. Not a hard statement to make and be confident it will turn out true.

Honestly, and I'm genuinely sorry I'm such a downer about GTAO all the time, but nothing can revive this game for me.

They could add mansions, beach houses, RV's, anything and it wouldn't change a thing anymore.

 

It sounds ridiculous, but to me playing GTAO in 2021 feels like I'm dying on the inside. I've never had less fun with a game than with GTAO during the past two years.

Are there people here who are actually still desperately waiting for this game? Like checking every day for info? I remember being like that in the V cycle. It just makes the wait so much worse. Go away and forget about it and then you'll get a nice surprise on the day it's announced without torturing yourself every day, hoping for an announcement. 

 

Also, back in the V cycle, it was pretty much the ultimate game for me, my favourite franchise and developer. But so much time has passed that I'm way more looking forward to other franchises now than the next installment of "milked-it theft auto"

 

Since V there has been 6 main Assassin's Creed games and the newest AC games have been waaaaay bigger than any GTA game and they're made every 2-3 years as well as all the other Ubisoft games. What's Rockstar excuse?

all we need is a new map, oh wait...

but i agree, i cant explain it with just a few words, but gta 5 (singleplayer) and gta online have a huge potential but there is something that is disturbing me

I rather have them stick to what they're already doing. The couple of days leading up to the reveal would be so hyped and crazy discussions would occur of what could be in the trailer. Also, the final countdown to the trailer would be a moment to never forget. If they just drop the video out of nowhere, it would feel weird and abrupt. I want to get myself ready for that damn reveal trailer.

4A Games announced today, that next-gen version of Metro Exodus is coming later this year to PS5/XSX and it will run at 4K60 with Ray Traced Global Illumination. It just shows how huge the gap between PS4/X1 and PS5/XSX is. It's hard to imagine what Rockstar will be able to do with that much power.

60fps is the bare minimum. 4K would be expected, and ray tracing would be cool. But all that is meaningless if it runs at an awful 30fps again.

one thing i am thankfully for is at least with gta v coming to next gen we get mountains and more diverse terrain. 

if 6 is just miami and parts of florida
