If we get Vice city and Liberty City in the same game and both fully explorable............I can easily wait 4-5 more years. But chances of both together are slim, sadly.

Mixing engines is not something easily done, it's not worth the effort. Both engines would have to have been made to accomodate systems from the other one.

Remaking Vice City won't make sense if VI is set in Vice City. That's the one thing that makes the 3d games remake rumour feel fake.

I was referring to them both being in VI. But yes, that reason is also why I feel like this remale is fake.

remake rumours were always bs people should not take every hint the mods do as gospel.

i agree i would love to see lc in six but i dont see it . 

i think rockstar will take the same approach with six they took with five do one city . 

and try to make the miami metro area as alive as ls lc was. 

to be fair that approach has worked just focusing on lc in 4 and in five made those cities alive and great. 

and lc for me anyway stills hold up its great on series x more so with mp still on there. 

just a joke its not on psnow when the 3d games bully rdr1 to are all on ps4/ps5 when gta 4 is not only reason its not is because sony got sour grapes the episodes coming out on x box first

Im not expecting any announcement about VI this year. I do expect atleast a trailer in 2022. if we get in 2023 and we still get nothing Im probably gonna become one of the angry people constantly asking for GTA6.

btw does anybody know which year they started working on RDR2? has to be 2012-2013 right? I know this is about GTA but f*ck it.

I'd say a trailer in 2022 is pretty much a guarantee. The question is will it be trailer 1 or trailer 2? At this point, after a global pandemic and GTA V E&E soon to come. It's looking likely to be trailer 1.

As for RDR2... it's complicated. Dan began writing the script in early 2011. But shooting didn't start until about August 2013.

Well TESVI is scheduled for around 2024. So it's actually very possible they come out within a year of each other. Hell, even the same year if GTA VI is announced in 2022.

I think The Elder Scrolls VI and Grand Theft Auto VI will release in the span of a couple of months. 

 

Edit: I take that back. TESVI is more of a 2024/2025 release while GTA VI is more of a 2024 release.

Well they did say to expect a release gap of 3-4 years between their titles, which they currently are doing (the gap between Skyrim and Fallout 4 and 76). So a Starfield release this year, with a trailer in June, and then TESVI release in 2024 is very possible.

Their games release on an average of 3 years, so you can do the maths. BGS still use the Creation Engine because it allows them to build games much much faster, and is a lot easier.

 

March 2006: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (Delayed from November 2005, would've been a launch title)

October 2008: Fallout 3

November 2011: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

November 2015: Fallout 4

November 2018: Fallout 76

November 2021: Starfield

November 2024: Elder Scrolls VI: Redguard

November 2027: Fallout 5???

 

So they have an average of 3 years between games. 76 Was mostly handled by BGS Austin, while the main studio in Maryland was working on Starfield, which is a brand new IP. And also working on their biggest most significant engine overhaul to date. So Starfield was likely in production since the last DLC for Fallout 4. Odds are there will continue to be 3 to 4 years between games. 3 years is just an average. TESVI is already in pre-production. So somewhere around 2024/25 is a solid bet.

 

It's the same logic you apply to Rockstar when trying to predict when GTA VI will release.
