Video game discussion is generally kinda sh*t like that. It can't simply be that two games are good for different reasons; it must be that one is objectively better than another, or that all x genre games must be trying to achieve the same goal and that if one game has a feature another hasn't then it's better, or that if you prefer a game over another you're an idiot fanboy...it seems really hard to just go "I prefer this game" and instead one needs to invent some weight behind one's opinion. Most games are fun yo

Lol I just figured out a way to play LCS mobile on my TV by streaming it and using a PS4 controller.

I'm really interested in seeing how they're going to tackle mission givers and all the in-game phone functionalities if its in a 80's setting. Having to drive around the city for getting a job from a payphone is going to be really annoying. GTA Online heavily relies on your phone and whatever its next evolution is im not going to miss being bombarded with job invites in sessions lol. V's UI is very dated.

What if missions are not being given to you on a platter and you have to struggle to find "jobs" by interacting with NPCs?

You still have a phone in the 80's. So you don't need to visit a payphone.

And you could also access jobs in your safehouse from different notes/letters that contacts/fixers would send you time and again. At the end of the day it's a video game, they'd figure it out. After all you can use a magic catalogue in RDO.

Tbf, I find most players find it annoying receiving calls all the time lol. Everything that is in the phone in GTA Online could easily just be done through a pause menu. The only real exception is the camera (just give the player a camera, instead). But after the PS4 & X1 released, the internal DVR made it a lot less useful. Still cool to upload snaps to the social club, though. Shame they're just so low res, though.

Rockstar even reduced the frequency of those stupid spam calls 'two' times. A pager would probably be better than Ron speaking gibberish about buying a bloody hangar.

Maybe. But playing GTA III, the message is way too slow. it feels like it takes an age to scroll across. I'd rather just get a text. But yeah, that's not a thing in the 80's.

I'd imagine at least on online they'll streamline things to make it more appealing to wider audience. Immersive stuff can stay in single player.

People complain about the map being too small and want bigger maps to drive across them but you're telling me you don't want to drive across a map in order to do some missions GTA fans don't know what they want.
