True. This concept from Reddit is pretty interesting in this regard (I think it was posted here too).

Basically the yellow cone is for the main objective and others are for points of interest, custom waypoints etc. As you get increasingly closer to your destination the cone becomes narrower and ultimately will become a standard dot for the final location. This can work well as a different option than the usual radar system.

I get what you mean, I was also thinking of the same thing. Though I guess it would get annoying with complicated roads and such.

For role players it'd be incredible. I still want the ability to open doors, turn on/off engines, etc. It's in Online, but not story mode. But at 100mph... it'd end up a bit useless, tbh. But yes, more options features is always a good thing!

It looks great. But I don't know how to feel about a potential remaster. That's more of a remake. The speculation is a remaster, so if it were actually true, I imagine it'd just be 4k/60, widescreen versions of the originals.

But it does make me want to play a modern Vice City in GTA VI, though.

I don't even know how to express how much I agree with you. To be honest, I would like GTA to get to the point where it's enough detailed to be also open world racing game like Forza Horizon for example, to offer good enough stealth mechanics to be another Hitman game. I really don't like when people restrict GTA series to it being "another story-driven action game". For me it's way bigger, it can be like you mentioned, ultimate sandbox game.

Then we'll have to wait 10-15 years more for GTAVI to come out. I wonder if all the Twitter accounts will continue saying 'dead game', 'where gta6' after all that time lol. Even then GTA probably won't be able to properly match with games that are focused on a aspect. 

And imho Hitman has extremely poor AI but that's what makes it so fun and goofy. It's almost closer to a puzzle game than a stealth game. Also the gunplay is seriously gimped to push you to find more creative solutions.

 

At the end of the day I believe we'll get more Hitman, MGSV esque mission design is upcoming Rockstar titles of Cayo Perico is any indication.

I can play GTA V, RDR 2 and also the classics and I don't miss any Ubisoft games
Maybe Far Cry 3, but after that all Ubi games were reskins of it

It's actually the evolution of The prince of Persia franchise. It was supposed to be a Prince of Persia spinoff but ended up being it's own series.

R * is the absolute king of open world games, no game will reach the same level as RDR2, only GTA VI

Nah companies like EA or Ubisoft can make a better game than Rockstar,they have much more employees and they are financially superior to R*,but they don't have creative minds like Sam or Dan nor they want to make games within 5 year gap.

Actually they don't even need to,they do commit to quantity over overall quality,even if you earn  8 billion dollars minus shark cards from a singular game,other companies can do that with same amount of time with different games milking microtransactions like R* do.

Damn, imagine that. A game can have a different focus and scale than GTA and still be a good open world game. At least none of those games make it easy for hackers to f*cking DDoS you because Rockstars "security" can be circumvented with the f*cking F12 key.

Also I have way more fun playing through SR2 than I do GTAV.
