Why would they bother with a new IP when GTA Online is making them so much money? Everyone is waiting for a new GTA. All they have to do is migrate their audience over to the next consoles and they are already doing that with GTA V once again. Then all they have to do is release GTA Online 2.0 separately (potentially there will not even be a traditional single player GTA, but an online only GTA game instead, it’s where the most money is) and allow players to import everything they have in V over to the new online. 
 

If they do release another single player GTA it will likely be sold separately from the new version of Online, and will likely have a fairly primitive story.

I am almost sure we will see a new IP after VI. Both GTA and RDR in their current forms, albeit fantastic games, are not as fresh and exciting as they once were and Red Dead especially imo doesn't have much potential for other sequels unless they radically change the setting and even time period. But at that point it arguably won't be the same series. I wish they would move away from the gangster theme/western theme altogether and bring something entirely new that can still feel like a Rockstar game.

RDR2 had a lot of neat side missions and things that weren't necessarily connected to what you would expect in a western. It would be great if Rockstar decided to expand those ideas into something more.

No it isn't. It's the 16th. Or 8th if you only count mainline titles. Really can't back his credibility when he gets something so basic so wrong.

 

 

I think he meant that instead of having a "VI" on the cover, just like the "V" and "IV" that are the last two releases of the GTA franchise, we would have some word or something, just waiting to see if that one guy is saying truth.

I'm sure CDPR's lawyers will be pretty frightening too if they find the perp. If even Valve could back in 2003 (HL2 source code leak). In fact I'd say that was the perfect bait - Gabe found out who it was, said he'd hire the hacker, had him land in US soil and immediately be arrested.

Pose as a fedex deliveryman instead pretend you got a delivery that needs a signature or pretend to be a building electrician/plumber doing some urgent maintenance work. That would probably land you in jail though.

There's various Dider Sachs locations in GTA V. The biggest of which being the large mall that is not enterable.

It happened but it wasn't legal because he was German and had to be prosecuted there, so the US bait thing had no effect.. His sentence was actually lower in Germany than it'd have been in the US IIRC.
