Stupid GTA questions

He probably left his gun at home because he knew Airport Security would confiscate it, or maybe he was robbed by those pesky Leones and their shotguns so he didnt try fighting back since they'd just Two-shot him.

Why would the Leones want his shirt? It's not like the shirt must've had diamonds on it...

Out of all places where the tennis coach can hide during "Marriage Counseling", why did he choose a specific mansion belonging to Madzaro's mistress?

Good question, that is such a weird location to hide. I guess he could have flexed that Madrazo is looking after the house and therefore Michael should leave and not try anything stupid. Maybe he just forgot to mention it.

Either R* wanted to give a throwback to Big Smoke's infamous "You picked the wrong house, fool!" line or they couldn't find a better way to make V's story go forward.

My question: Why Claude never gets a confrontation from Toni or, on a quite lesser likely extent, Joey after whacking Sal? It feels like there's a missing page in the story...

If you fall from a great height but land in the ocean in San Andreas you don't die right? But what about if it's a swimming pool or another small pool of water? I tried so many times to do it but I could never hit one. Does anyone know?

I did this in GTA IV (where you also don't die when landing in the ocean) landing in the lake at Middle Park and also getting flung out of a car window and landing very close to the shore by a beach. And I died both times, because in IV you bob under the water when you hit it from a height and if it's shallow enough that you hit the bottom it kills you. But I always wondered about SA.

I would assume if the water is deep enough for CJ to enter swimming mode you won't die. If the water is shallow and CJ is running in it you will presumably die.

  • Why doesn't carl just go around killing Berkley's couriers with guns and not a f*cking RC plane??
  • Why doesn't CJ just break into the Prison that sweet is being held and bust him out?

Probably to send a message. CJ had nothing to do with Berkley so it wouldn't make sense for him to attack them personally. With Zero's RC plane, Berkley becomes aware Zero took his revenge. And also, to show Berkley Zero's RC toys were superior, which we can see in Zero's last mission where he wins that silly game.

Tenpenny and co. would know it was CJ and they needed him to do them favors. Busting Sweet out of prison would trigger them and get the entire Los Santos police looking for CJ and Sweet. And since Sweet would want to go back to the Grove, they would be easily caught again. CJ only took a shot at Tenpenny at the end because his influence dropped entirely, the whole town hated him, even other cops.

You're probably right! I think I'm mostly just annoyed that I never successfully managed to land in a pool to test it lol

You can try Madd Dogg's pool. I think the whole of it is deep enough for Carl to swim. Just jump down, open the parachute, navigate above the pool and when you are perfectly aligned take off your parachute midair (same button you use to get in and out of cars).

I don't have the game atm but I always failed when I tried this lol. If I get it I will be trying again.

Why did Trevor treat Ron and Wade so f*cking bad?

So he could control them and get them to do useful things for him. He identified them as weak and easily manipulated and treated them that way to keep them down and so they felt dependant on him so they'd do what he said. Alongside treating them like crap he also "helped" them/made them feel like he was helping them by giving them advice and "employing" them etc and kept telling them they needed him. I think he did have some affection and loyalty to them in that he didn't screw them over or kill them and did stuff like shielding Wade from what happened with Debra and Floyd. But he was exploiting them.

Talking about Wade, how the heck he could find Michael for Trevor so quickly?

That's a good question. I have always wondered how he did that. He only had his real name to work it. I doubt anyone aside from the FIB knew about the name change.

What exactly is a "pizzad"? One of the fail lines in Los Sepulcros, if Kane manages to drive all the way to his territory or something, has Sweet say "Aw, sh*t, he done made it to the pizzad" yet that word's not even covered by Urban Dictionary.

Secret Grove Street slang which means "Ballas stronghold". He's invented it while CJ was away in LC :modkek:

Are there beta, complete versions of some of the radio stations in GTA III? I'm sure I once watched a video where the imaging voice for Head Radio had a few extra lines I definitely never heard on the PS2 version, I also once heard Toni on Lips 106 actually announce Wash Him Off as the next song (the song that famously got cut)

Andee hosts Lips 106, not Toni. And yeah, you can find "Wash Him Off" on the soundtrack sampler CD for the game:

Pad, except Snoop Doggified

Okay, so Jason Micheals in TLAD lives in Alderney, Anna Faustin lives in Broker and the mission in IV where Niko kills Jason takes place around the time when all bridges linking the rest of the city to Broker, Dukes and Bohan are strictly closed off with heavy police reinforcements.

So the question is; how the hell was Jason able to go all the way from Alderney to Broker in one piece without the LCPD and NOOSE literally hunting him down? And he got there with his bike, too?

The gang including Jason crossed supposedly blocked off bridges in both of the opening missions.

It seems fair to say that the canonical status of the roadblocks is more than questionable as a result. The same could be said for a number of other blockades in previous games that only existed to contain the player for a while.

At this point, they should've just based The Lost MC in Broker and not in Alderney IMHO...
