Stupid GTA questions

In the mission Easy as can be in GTA IV, is the car chase mandatory? Cause before the chase I killed all the enemies in both the cars in that alleyway, but as I exited the alley another enemy car started chasing me. The wiki says an easy way to complete the mission is to eliminate all enemies in the alley and that's what I did but I was still chased? Or is it a glitch?

 

Who do you think succeeded Salvatore? My feeling is it would have been Joey, Toni though closest to Sal seems more like the dumb muscle of the family while even though Joey wasn't too invovled he had a good head for business and being Sal's son is another advantage, though this is just imo and would be interested in the opinion of the GTA series section

I think Toni was a dumb muscle too but i also wanna beleive that he succeeded Sal as head of the Leone's (because he's a GTA protagonist). I dont think joey would ever succeed Sal even though he had an advantage.

 

In GTA CTW's ending Huang was asked to be the new head of the triads but he didn't respond.

Did he choose not to be the triad boss?

It was never cleared whether Huang Lee had taken over or simply walked away.

What do you think happend?

Is there a reason why all the 3D era GTAs were released in October, that too more or less the last week? Afaik it's not really holiday season or anything at that time. Even RDR2  was released in this time period curiously, does R* really like the last week of October or is it just a coincidence?

So most of the silhouettes you see in the Vice City opening are honestly clear enough to tell what they represent, but then there's some that I'm honestly not sure what I'm supposed to be seeing, even almost 2 decades later. Video for reference:

 

 

- In 1:28, is that supposed to be... a cat? Long before they had actual land mammals in the games, but that's seriously my best guess.

- In 1:44 it honestly looks like a guy flipping the bird, but then again that's not really an anatomically correct looking arm, so I already kinda know it's the wrong answer, but my mind just seems incapable of drawing any other conclusion, so f*ck if I know.

Could it be the Florida panther? Apparently native to South Florida and they even have an ice hockey team named after it.

Can't say for sure but it looks like he's holding something to me, like an instrument of some sort.

You have to enter Oracle, and then when they spawn kill them all.

 

Then, drive further, but don't drive out of the alley. The car with enemies is spawned and waits for you. Now, all you have to do is exit Oracle, leave the car and shoot those dudes in the car. After that... there is no chase.

 

Also, the thing in 1:44 looks like a player holiding a hokey stick...?

The cat I believe is a horse (horse racing - Diaz likes to bet on them, until they start losing. Just ask his television set.) but that tail makes it confusing. As for the guy, he is playing Jai Alai, a sport commonly played by the rich.

1:28: It's definitely a Florida panther running towards us. The next one is a shark so it fits with the predatory theme.

1:44: Looks like a guy wearing a helmet and some protective gear (look at his elbow). He's also wearing a shirt with the number 7 on the front so I'm pretty sure it's sports-related. It'd make sense if he was holding a skateboard or a hockey stick but it's hard to tell...

Old post, but GTA IV was supposed to be released in October 2007 too.
 

Fun, but totally no consequential fact. It would’ve come out 2 days after I joined if it stuck to that release window. Like sh*t. I could’ve started my GTA IV fanboying career 6 months or so earlier hehe.

 

But joking aside it probably to do with getting off the books for Take 2’s fiscal year and/or avoiding the holiday release congestion.

Only I had thoughts that EFLC was a some kind of social experiment?

 

Like, we have two stories - obscure and colorful TBoGT and dark and serious TLaD. The part that gets more popular would set the future direction of the series. TBoGT became more popular, and now we get obscure and colorful GTA V.

Earlier GTA V screenshots from early developing stages (that one with round radar) doesn't have such bright graphics because R* did not know in which direction the series would move.

He is, Roman mentions it on the drive from the ship to the apartment when he arrives. It's given as the reason for him not being allowed in the other areas yet - there's increased security on the bridges due to terrorism so Roman advises him "Terrorists. There's been a big scare and you can't go across the bridges so good. You, without a visa, I would stay in Broker". I think he was working on the ship legally (although there was also a lot of illegal activity happening on it) but left it to live in LC illegally (whereas some others who got off and stayed may have sorted out papers etc to live and work there legally).

When you perform your first Unique Stunt Jump in LCS, the game tells you to "get a change of underwear from the safehouse" because Toni wrecked his current one, but then why does he put on just the new underwear when we do that? I know it's a witty way to tell the player about the Underwear outfit being unlocked, but still...

 

And another thing: Who the heck gives the player money for stunts?

But 99.99% of the video would be just Toshiko spouting poetry like crazy. How can that even sell? I think he took the money from Kazuki's wallet, which is quite likely to be true because his corpse changes it's position after his death and Kazuki is rich AF, judging by that huge tank Toni destroys in "Shogun Showdown".

Yes, the tank in GTA V is not bulletproof, it just has a lot of Health and it takes a long time to destroy, just watch out when blowing up cars next to your tank since fire can easily destroy the tank.

Honestly not really, at most its just all over the place with little connecting it. The onlreal stupid parts are Zeros and Torenos missions.

For rdr2 there was a real life event that happened way back on the 26th that inspired them to release the game that day.

Why does CJ wear a vest on the flight back to Los Santos? I mean, it's snowing in Liberty City as we see in "Saint Mark's Bistro" and many peds wear sweaters, hoodies, jackets and whatnot throughout the game. How could he even think about stepping out in the cold like that?

But he was robbing peds and stealing cars in LC with a gun as we see in The Introduction. There's no way in the 3D-era universe he had his shirt/coat/jacket/hoodie/whatever stolen, he would've put two shots in the other dude's guts already before he could've had the chance.

He probably left his gun at home because he knew Airport Security would confiscate it, or maybe he was robbed by those pesky Leones and their shotguns so he didnt try fighting back since they'd just Two-shot him.
