Why is there no mod to give John the ability to swim in RDR2?

seriously! it drives me up the f*cking wall how i am able to swim in RDR2 and then lose that ability when i beat the game.

 

you would think that someone would have made a mod by now, but i tried searching everywhere and i guess nobody really gives enough of a sh*t to bother with a simple mod.

 

(i know it's canon that john can't swim but it still irritates the crap out of me. i was one of the few people who found occasional use in swimming, so i wasn't happy to see it get taken away)

At the cost of *gasp* realism? No way man, don't you know that realism is serious business here in modern R* games?

Reason why you may not get a mod related to this is because most people prefer Arthur and will just reload a save for all the features.

I think it is a throwback, locked in on purpose:

 

Am I wrong in remembering that in Red Dead Redemption (1), 

John would die as soon as he entered the water? I think the only reason

was because they didn't add "swimming" to the game?

 

So I think it is a "joke", that he can't swim in this either   

 

I actually forgot about that, since Arthur and this Online Character both

merrily swim!

 

I'm only at 34 percent in single player, with Arthur, since I got into Online as soon as that was added.

I need to go back and finish, since only John can finish the legendary fish (since the last area is locked off

to Arthur... ) 

 

I'm also excited to play John in single, since I hated when he was replaced in the first game.

There is a save someone made that left all things, except those only Arthur can do, undone for John. I've been playing that lately since I already played the story 3 times. It allows you to free roam without interruptions from someone in camp hunting you down. Most of John's dialogue during stranger interactions, etc, is word for word what Arthur said with some exceptions where he mentions Arthur has died.

 

There is also a trainer that includes unlimited stamina that will allow John to swim.
