This is so much 💩. And especially for the few content added this whole GD year. First a so called Massive update, and now a 💩 Halloween update. Yeah, gives me all the confidence in the world that their next big update is gonna be great. A great pile of 💩 for sure.

What is bad is that they are not only sh*tty in gameplay inclusions... they cant even produce decent cosmetics... thas lame.

The stuff isn't even great, but I'm getting it anyway.

 

Machete look and a couple horse masks. The blue horse

mask looks kind of like a "day of the dead" thing, so kind of neat.

 

I thought the "frighten" emote might get a reaction from NPCS, but no ;)

 

Not even player masks/hats/cloaks whatever. 

 

(Yeah, not even new clothes in the catalog/tailor shop.) 
 

OH the shack theme, forgot about that ;)

The only good Thing for me is the shack theme. But Not because I Like the Theme, more that I can do the daily Challenge of changing the decor .

I thought those passes were part of the Wheeler, rawson & co club?   I had a 5000xp coupon for Wheeler, rawson & co but it didn’t add any to the Halloween pass... feels a bit like false advertisement to me 🤨

Not played Red Dead Redemption II but even I read and treated it with the sarcasm it deserved that having to pay 15 gold bars to get a pieced of paper (a.ka. Halloween Pass) just to be able to do the event is pure cash greed

by R*, makes me wonder how much cash we'll have to stump if passes like this become a thing for future DLC's.

 

So given the choice of the three games I own with Halloween themed events coming it would go in this order:

 

Elder Scrolls Online Witches Festival where you character can turn undead and you have a witch with an actual cauldron.

GTA Online - whenever that is announced!

RDR II

 

Any way's my two cents on this event - no interest!

Can I just say that changing the Bar Decor is 10 to 15 Gold by itself. You are getting multiple emotes, two bits of clothing, multiple horse masks, a new unique weapon and the bar decor for fifteen Gold. Yes, you dont get your money back but you cant complain about the value.

I think the problem with that is R* raised expectations by having all the previous passes give players their gold back if it was completed and many anticipated the same to occour as in the previous passes where we'd get loads of goodies and our gold returned is all.

 

Personally, I want the decor and gold isn't an issue for me. If anything, I feel too rich for how I expected things to go, lol. The rest is largely pap though, but that's just me. No biggie.

Never bought a second bar decor. Not needed. I did put up the Halloween one since I have it.

I'm not impressed with it though.

I use one emote to greet others, if needed.

I have two outfits. Everyday outfit and with coat for cold weather.

Don't use horse masks cause I think they look silly.

Weapon variant for a gun I don't use.

Never bought a machete since I have no need for it.

 

Halloween stuff. LoL

 

Candy would've been better.

Or free roam infested with undead, i would tap that so hard. I mean controller buttons, not the dead. That would be weird.

Was just thinking about this last night--R* could have at least added some creepy (but temporary) random encounters, like something with the scarecrows in various fields around the map, distant ghost sightings or the serial killer southwest of Valentine...

This map oozes atmosphere and R* really could have played up to that. Just 'gator dodging and getting suddenly knocked over by another animal can make me jump and then laugh at what a lemon I was for doing so, lol.

Armadillo should be shrouded in perma darkness and have plague victims arise from the dead. Hideouts/bootlegger missions with undead enemies, killed with headshots only. All they had to do is reskin enemies for the Halloween event duration and it's reusable year after year. How hard could that have been? It's not like they had only days to create some new events.

Hmm; actually just occurred to me that the "dead NPCs on a rock" random encounter might just be related to something R* suddenly introduces closer to (or on) Halloween...

 

Possibly something in connection to the Valentine serial killer (though his M.O. involves gore, which is notably missing)?

Been there for a while now. I've seen several when lobbies were small enough to spawn them.

Well that was quick.

I reached just below rank 15 yesterday, today was a total sh*tshow and I still finished the pass.

 

Wow.

WAY, WAY too easy.

Oh well, picked up the machete at the fence, next time the game actually works well enough I'll check out the shine bar decor & change my camp flag.

That's pretty much all I want out of this.

From what I saw last night on someone's stream they did a good job on the decor, except some of the crates that are associated with the band are very jarring mixed in with the gothic stuff.

It just doesn't fit at all, maybe that would have been too hard to change.

 

Saw some of the masks...mmmm...no.

And horse masks are a big no. The idea doesn't appeal to me at all, and they're all extremely ugly IMO.

I didn't think I'd get it done today.

As i posted in the B&M thread, I had 9 disconnections in 45 minutes. It was 25 before I even loaded in to be able to do anything at all.

I’m really  getting to the point of not giving these half ass game companies my

hard earned money anymore like it’s time to draw the line they make way too much money to do a half ass job.
