How can I disable the HUD in 2020? [SOLVED]

I know you could use the CLEO mod to disable the HUD in GTA:III, but this doesn't seem to work anymore in version 1.1.

 

It tells you to press ALT + D to disable it, but it doesn't seem to work (unless I'm doing something wrong).

 

Does anyone know of an alternative way to disable the HUD? I can't find one anywhere. 

 

Edit: I found that using this mod with this downgraded .exe file works.
