I can't see nothing wrong with the lighting. the model looks bright in direction of light sources and dark where no light hits it. The original trees foliage mesh is too simple, it looks flat. My goal is increase the foliage complexity without create something that looks out of place. I tested with 2D trees + 2k textures a year ago, despite being 2D the perspective looks fine while moving around it , and even from the sky. I have 100+ projects going on at moment. And don't really like this one, because it's too repetitive and boring to make. I would say that I will keep this project on hold for some time. Beside that, I'm not really sure wich direction should I go, improve the original models or use the 2D models. I like the 2d better, since it's a texture, a photo of a real tree, there's no low poly aspect and the lighthing looks very good.
