GTA VI ""Leaks"" Analysis Thread

Looks like "leakers" got lazy and started taking fan art instead of making their own stuff.  The most recent "leak" got debunked in literally 5 minutes as it stole an image from this guys channel.

On topic:

I just did some math and The Crew's Miami is roughly 5 km x 9 km. About half is water.

 

The Vice City from the leak is roughly 4 km (excluding the airport) x 7 km (excluding the lower islands). Keep in mind that it is much more condensed and the city has less water between the islands (water is only 1/3rd) of the area.

 

If the map is real, it is larger than the Los Santos overall area and on par with the Crew's Miami. Even though at first glance it might not look that way. Main reason for this is that the city is stretched out instead of square and the water ofcourse!

 

A few additional notes:

- Tortona is ofcourse based on Daytona

- Polo Island is based on Marco Island

- Bluefish Point on Cape Coral / Fort Myers

- Whitewater is based on Tampa

 

The main Florida area missing is Orlando, but this one might be obscured by fog on the leaked map near Fred's Fun World (Rosalind?).

 

In all quite a good Florida map to be honest, featuring all main areas in the state.

Also it is about 1,75x the size of GTA V's map, which is decent. Not too big, but certainly a lot larger than previous installments.

Since Henderson mentioned that there would be map additions and expansions of some sort. I see them doing a smaller map based on New Orleans (New Bordeaux), Bayou, Panama City and the Gulf Coast shores, connected to the main map near Whitewater and Bluefish Point.

 

That is actually the only 'in instance' map addition I see them doing with the leaked map. Exception being uf they add islands not connected with highways/interstates.

Clearwater/St. Pete are both on Tampa Bay, so people group them together a lot just like Oakland/Berkeley with San Francisco.

Yeah, I'm no expert either, but this seems to be it. Clearwater and Tampa are separate places, but Clearwater is part of the Tampa Bay area. But basically, I'd just call it Whitewater/Clearwater for the obvious naming correlation.

 

Seems a bit on the nose for Rockstar, however. But hey, could always be wrong. They have named some thing very similar in the past.

Never said I believed the story lol, on the contrary. While it looks good, that's about all it has going for it. The whole "leak" has many red flags about it. I was just explaining why the date does hold weight, since it either being kept for a year or having the date changed makes no sense.

I just made up a story that could fit what was said in the leak, which potentially could have happened. But even the most reasonable idea I could think of in hindsight, would never happen. 

I dont believe the leak, of all the things to get leaked, why would it be that? Its either a stolen fan project or most likely a talented troll, nothing more.

Ok i just remembered something, around two years ago my neighbor(works as a janitor and has some coding knowledge) invited me once for a cup of coffee, while he was heating it i noticed his PC was running, came close to it and saw some sort of a game running, i wasn't sure what it was so i ran quickly to turn off the lights in order to grab a picture of it(since turning off the light is standard procedure whenever you do something like this) and thankfully i got the picture and turned the lights back on before he noticed(i did poop myself a few times while i was at it), anyway back to what matters, after seeing the latest map i remembered the picture i toke and noticed that the radar in the picture i toke matches an area in that leaked map:

 

 

Is this GTA6? no don't say it, it is GTA6 right? omg guys we did it we have a real image of GTA6 omgzy dasugshgvcsghvcgshvhjasb qwugdqwvdqsdcv asgh asdasghv jas

That's actually a modded GTA Vice City (2002). It was actually posted as a leak, back in 2019. You can probably find my post showing the location it was taken from. I think it's on a roof near the Pay n' Spray.

I don't think it's real, no. But I find it very compelling and interesting. It's hard to really put into the right words, right now. But I do like the map and I thought it was fun to go over. Let's say it turned out to be real.... I wouldn't be surprised at all. And many of the criticisms people have with it I don't actually agree with. In other words, I agree with people opinions, I just don't agree with their reasoning.

 

The map looks like a highly condensed Florida, minus the panhandle and some other big northern cities, like Jacksonville. So it looks like what I'd generally expect the map to look like. However there's just a number of red flags that pretty much confirm this particular map is fake.

I truly believe all of this "2025" release talk is just smoke screen put out by Take Two, Rockstar's been found out in 2018 and they're desperately trying to cover up the surprise reveal, why? 

 

GTA V E&E trailer was just the 2011 trailer mixed with the 2014 PS4/XB1 trailer, no new screenshots or anything of the sort. 

 

maybe there is no E&E and they're pulling a Kojima or what everyone thinks Kojima is doing with BlueBox / Silent Hills / ABANDONED.

 

would not be surprised in the slightest if GTA V E&E is literally GTA 6.

Giving the benefit of the doubt, I believe pariah87 is simply showing areas of potential inspiration or interpretation of areas in Florida that can be seen on the map, not whether or not it's legitimate.

Okay, so I don't want to stoke the flames further on what could nonetheless just be a very elaborate fake and therefore keep in mind this does not necessarily add some new major layer of credibility to the Quincy World leak, but I still found it interesting to add to the discussion: anyone else remembers that 4chan thread where someone said the story of the game was going to revolve around a battle between two millionaires that are very explicit caricatures of Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos, and that you would probably be able to have facial surgery, something that was present on the recently leaked map? Because well, I was reading through those screenshots aaaand...

 

 

Once again, keep in mind that it's hardly uncommon for fake anonymous leaks to reference other older fake anonymous leaks to create an extra aura of credibility around them, so please don't treat this as some form of slam dunk that definitely confirms the credibility of these posts - although with that said, if Quincy World is fake then this would make it the second very high-effort leak (the first one being the pause menu map) that can be correlated to a statement made in this 4chan thread. If all this information is false then we might be either looking at one person posting all of this or, maybe, multiple different users directly coordinating with each other to create what could as well be the most impressive chain of fake leaks we have ever seen for a GTA game. And I mean, in either case, the effort is at least admirable.
