imo the date being from 2020 doesn't really mean anything, a random texture for the game could've easily been made a year ago and only shared now - esp. considering the map "leak" brought it to a lot more peoples attention and could've given the dude who posted it an idea about what it could be for.

 

that said - if the radio station leaks are from the same guy i think it completely disproves the fred's fun world map, the radio stations say "vice city" and the poster originally said they didn't know what their roommate was working on - in that case i highly doubt that they'd even put two and two together in thinking that the theme park map could've been GTA related if they didn't think a radio station with the name "vice city" was potentially GTA related to begin with.

of course, this all depends on whether or not they're actually the same person, like it was said, there's a lot of discrepancies around the camera, screen etc. so i think it's more than likely it's someone pretending to be the same person to try and use the discussion around the original to piggy-back their fake.

I have that thing disabled lol. It was causing issues in the task bar.

In my opinion, there would be no way that out of nowhere the guy would take a picture of his roommate's computer screen, and that picture would be something related to GTA VI.

 

First of all, why would the guy take a picture of his roommate's computer? He certainly didn't know that his friend supposedly worked with Rockstar. Or worse, he took the picture randomly, (because yeah, right, totally normal), only to find out 1 year later that the picture is from GTA VI through a leaked map in a shaky video full of discrepancies. Ok, I totally believe that...

 

Another thing, that I already said in another post of mine, do people really think that in less than 5 days, countless different things would leak? From the same source? What, the developers went on strike and rebelled against Rockstar?

The best part of this "roommate" story is the fact that the guy taking the photo had no clue what game would use Vice City Rock Radio. Somehow took a year to figure out. Hope he figures out why everybody around him wore masks for a year or worked from home.

 

 

In response to the "it lines up" posts, they're basically using the u/ColonelPuffin polished/re-interpreted map in the HUD, adding lines that make no sense with their inclusion, and modifying the color to fit the beach theme.

Giving too much importance on what the ''leaker'' said in terms on how he got the leaks is not the way to go , if a person somehow has genuine leaks and is also intelligent and for some reason he decides its worth leaking he or she will never say the truth on how they got it , they would probably invent their story all together , maybe change dates , going to other lengths or not mentioning at all how they got the information in order to not be traced , their version would be anything but the truth.  Most probably if a leak is true the leaker will not feel the urge to give out details of how he got it at all to protect himself and others. Analysis should be concentrated on the images themselves and their credibility and than be considered convincing or debunked accordingly while having fun.

Also last Tuesday I was on Bus in the middle of nowhere Idaho and this guy all the way up at the front of the bus run up to me and said "I have to poop. Don't look at my laptop while im pooping I'm working on grand theft auto 6."  So when he went to go poop I ran to the front of the bus and took a picture of his laptop. I couldn't believe my eyes. No idea if its real or he was a troll. Graphics look a bit weird but since its coming out in 2024 maybe its just beta. What do you guys think?

Kristy pointed this out instantly and a moment after I debunked it by changing the time on my pc to sometime in 1988.  That holds zero weight at all.

If your information comes from a single source (e.g. evaluating one of these leaks), then the validity of said source absolutely matters; concrete confirmation is nigh impossible to come by without anything official to compare to, so everything is just an act of weighing up possibilities, and a dubious source adds to that even if it doesn't outright conform to any conclusion. It's the same reason why if an image is sourced from a reputable site that say they've ascertained the legitimacy of the source, the image is given a lot more significance.

This raises more questions though, why would they change the date? Id assume the photo was taken in a rush, likely while the roommate was away from their PC temporarily. Id also assume also that Rockstar uses some kind of gateway so that their staff can access work files while working from home, its very unlikely those files would be stored locally to the roommates computer. It would be a pretty plausible scenario that the roommate left temporarily to lets say get a drink, etc, and while he was gone the leaker took a quick photo. Another thing that shows they didn't have much time to take the photo is the fact that its not centred. If they had enough time to set up the photo, why did they not take the time to centre the camera properly? 

So if they were in a rush like I expect, why would they take the time to change the date, for seemingly little to no reason, and then have to change it back again so to not make their roommate suspicious. While the leaker could have changed the date, I think its pretty unlikely.

You're saying this with the bold assumption that the 'leak' is 100% real.  The very likely scenario is its 100% fake and they simply changed the date on the pc to make it seem more real like they actually had the picture for a while.  There is no roommate, thats a fake story.

Hey man i think you should use more methods when addressing the "believers", since whenever they read "debunked" "fake" "not real" "it's fake here's the proof" their brain unconsciously translates it as "100% real" "sounds perfectly legit" "the lines make sense" "2 fakes match omg that means it's real!" "one of these 6 fake screens? one of them has got to be the real deal".

 

Seriously how can some people be that naive? I think the mods should restrict the posting of these joker images, people are posting this sh*t without using a single cell in their brain, just directly whenever the faker posts anything it's a direct copy/paste "omg guys look leek".

I too have been wondering why people seem to think at least something has to be real.  Their only, and yes I mean only, evidence is "This leak lines up with this leak" even if one of them is confirmed fake, they STILL cling to that logic but change it to "Oh I guess someone saw this real leak and decided to make a fake leak for clout!"  I'm 99% sure its all fake, not one single thing is real, especially because all of these "leaks" are based off of the recreation of the "leaked" map, which automatically debunks them.  Surely people cant believe a "leak" that "lines up" with a recreation of a "leaked" map but not the original is legit.  If things lined up with the original "leaked" map then things would have at least a bit more credibility, but as of right now they have zero credibility.
