It is probably fake, but for the first time they made me doubt, its a great and elaborated job. I think @RedDagger's shared stock photo confirms this is fake.

I was at a footy game yesterday, it was 29c and no shade, it was hellish and I wasn't even playing. Must've had an inch thick layer concoction of sweat and sunscreen on my arms and neck by the end lmao.

The "leaker" is having the time of their life laughing at people who believe their well orchestrated fake.

It was aslo slightly modified so the neck is highier and at different angle, but otherwise it seems to be alligned perfectly to the detail. I'm not sure about the face since i don't even know who these people are that you mentioned but i think we found the culprit. Not gonna lie i was willing to bet like 500 on legitimecy of this since this just felt sooo R* with the model.

It's just slimmed down. Squashed, if you will. Made narrower.

I agree with pretty much all of that post Len, except for the part I've quoted above. I've seen similar lines used before too. So this is a general comment about that idea, rather than comment on the theme park leak.

 

'Employees wouldn't leak because they have an NDA, therefore they don't leak, therefore the leak is fake' is pretty circular logic. Yes, the vast vast majority of employees would never leak; they're very professional, they take seriously what they do and respect the work of their colleagues, etc.

 

But that's very different from saying that a leak from an employee (or contractor) is out of the question in any circumstances. From time to time leaks happen in all walks of life, deliberate leaks and accidental ones.

 

Take this pretty ridiculous story that came out today about leak of IRL classified info via War Thunder. Now this is about a leak into a video game, rather than out of one, but if classified IRL defense info can leak - with potentially very severe imprisonable consequences under the UK Official Secrets Act - then it's certainly possible that info can leak from something as relatively trivial as the studio making the next GTA. Plenty of other studios impose NDAs, leaks still happen, and there's no such thing as Rockstar exceptionalism.

I remember that one time when i think new Assasins Creed game leaked due to dude seeing some lady work on it on a laptop on a plane, where he saw a logo, posted on reddit, people called him a lying sh*thead, then fewm onths later it was confirmed with the exact logo details 

 

I don't work on games but i work in an office tech related, generally you are working on X things, so it's not about not being able to leak, it's more so that you aren't working on whole product, so if let's say 10 people are working on this specific section of a project, then if that specific part leaks finding who leaked it is a lot easier based on just what leaked.

 

Thats why the 4chan greentext leaks although are mostly bullsh*t fanfics, are the most probable place for leaks to happen, assuming they are not a fan wish lists, since they can condensate just what you can hear form others in an office.

Well yeah but that's someone opening confidential documents on a train without even thinking of the fact a fan might be watching - in a train full of people - not DELIBERATELY taking pictures of things.

to put it in gaming perspective, generally making a single character model in AAA games takes actually a lot of time, from sculpting, to retopo, to texsturing, to rigging, to animation etc, and 1 model goes trouch a lot of people each specializing in different thing in a pipeline. R* games are massive and they have slave armies of graphic designers, if you are working on X model, and it leaks, then it is gonna be really not that hard to figure out a leaker from 10 people working on it

Yeah, i was just trying to state that a lot of true leaks can come from random places, like generally no one would believe that leaks since you'd assume professionals know to now open sh*t in public, but then it happened and it was just like 'ecks deee'. 

 

Generally it pains me but i think i am starting to believe the 2025 release date, especially with E&E releasing near the end of the year, so no announcement of other products before it THEN it needs to make some profit in online so i assume year + shelf time, then at best an annoucement.

I'm going to note, for posterity, that the second-highest rated comment on the /r/gta6 thread of this image says that "the art style [of the portrait] seems like Rockstars", so lol

 

also, just remember: many people (it has ~100 net upvotes rn) will take a stock photo as "Rockstar's art style" - for when they tell you that a leak is clearly real since it's in Rockstar's style

Also a lot of ture leaks are just random info about a game not wishlist.

 

Hell even the gta v leak i posted about here was something like this if i recall from my memorry

Don't expect any true leaks to pop up here since there is rockstar employee mod here with job is to sniff out any true leaks

Which means you completely ignored the posts made above by other staff... There is no such thing. Besides, the GTA V leak referred simply to the names and 3 protags, no SA Stories or whatever. The original topic is still up.

I'm not sure with post you're reffering to since i don't think i've seen it or i might';ve missed it sorry.

 

I don't think it was this post? Since i do remember the LSS being vividly mentioned there along with just flaming on the staff. I also remember that infographic, with like yellowish orangish backroung i *belieeeeve?* i wish i could find it again since i search for it form time to time but no avail. OR maybe they were two different posts that i mixed together. Can't say since it's been some time now back in the gta v pre release days

 

Anywya my point was less on what the leak said but more on the fact that true leaks usually have just some random tibits of info that unless you know about the game don't seem to make a lot of sense. Like the birthing minigame nentioned in rdr 2 post with got a lot of people to question that leak back then

Besides, once a leak is out it can be incredibly difficult to wipe it clean and remove all traces of it. Hell even the infamous 'Trusted Reviews' leak was removed but still detailed online, if you saved it. Leaks like those are a little easier to remove, because people rarely save text like they do images. But it's still out there and people remember.

Ok i looked at my first posts ever on this forum (jesus christ i was so cringy in my teens someone shoot me pls) and i found the topic, qudos to @Spider-Vince for finding the dude, it was that post, but he also later made this post 

He made some other one but the graphic there is currently deleted, so i'm not sure if that one was the one with los santos stories and i merged all the posts together or if it was some other posts, i have no idea, no clue, memory is weird thing.

I know i learned about this from this post (i e ven posted there lol) 

 

Also i know this is offtopic but since i mentioned the preious posts i just wanted to post them to make it clear as to what was correct in my statement and what wasn't since i don't want to post too much unreleated in this topic, but just wanted to make it clear both to me and other that read my post sicne i forgot a lot of sh*t since 2012  

 

anyway my point here is less about what dude said in the posts, but more about the fact that if it looks like a wishlist, it is 99% fake 

 

(also for the sake of 100% clarity, i am not saying the post deletion reason was true, just quoting what the dude said, otherwise i am being cheeky f*cker about r* employes working here since i know you all just trying to not make this place reddit 2.0 with all the fake leaks etc  )

I think it's worth noting that "drawing theme park sketches as a hobby" seems to be a thing. After going down a Google images rabbit hole, it also seems to be mostly inspired by vintage posters instead of modern ones. This isn't really a cause to say it's real or fake, but how dated something is might be important if people are going to say it matches the other map "exactly" if it's modern day.

The point is that it shouldn't be considered fake simply because the face is copied from or modeled after a real figure's face.

With the latest leak of "Quincy World", at least the leaker is pretty on point with Rockstar's humor.

But at this point I'm suspicious of the fact that so many leaks are coming out back-to-back that supposedly corroborates the original map leak. It just makes the series of leaks feel more fake than real to me. If the map was a genuine leak, I really doubt it would be conveniently followed by other leaks soon after that corroborate it.

 

Some dude took a picture of his roommates computer and saved it just in case it was a big deal??? And this leaked map conveniently has "Quincy's World" on it?
