ceaton88
I'm not expecting much of a response but just in case someone knows what I'm talking about, here goes. I spent many hours modding IV over lockdown a few months ago and settled on a few "must haves". One of them being a variety traffic mod which replaces cargrp.dat and vehicles.ide to spawn in supercars, buses and faggios etc. This was great but the mod only works properly when BudgetedIV was used with Fusion Fix. The problem with using BudgetedIV is that on occasion some cars will have no engine sounds. So this whole time I've had to make a choice, either the same old cars spawning over and over and not much variety in traffic or, no engine sounds on some cars. Does anyone know of a fix? I'm using the latest Steam Edition and therefore don't want to use any scripted mods because last time I checked, Scripthook was bugged. I mean it worked but would crash the game if loading a saved game after initial startup. Appreciate anyone who may know of a fix as I've not wanted to play the game because of the above
Nico
I think it's a limitation of the game. I experienced it when I had plenty of added cars (not replacing any vanilla models). There's a limited amount of vehicle soundsets the game can load at the same time, and if this amount is exceeded, any newly generated vehicles with a soundset of their own will remain silent, at least until some vehicles are despawned. Did you see the frightened ones? Did you hear the falling bombs? Did you ever wonder... ...why we had to run for shelter when the promise of a brave new world unfurled beneath a clear blue sky? Ok thanks, do you think lowering the budgeting commands would help in that case? Trouble is I'm not sure what a suitable value would be
