New Pamphlet Idea: not necessarily killing the target, but putting them in an almost intoxicated state. A non lethal approach to bounty missions. Fun for pvp. Maybe limiting the amount the user can hold to control abusing the power.

I would guess not being able to run/sprint and stumbling around using the drunk animations.

Unfortunately, nothing more than a new griefing tool.

 

It all comes back to the experience of the affected player--how much time does it take? What kind of limits does it place on them? Is there a counter to it?

 

I have no interest in being hog tied and carted around on the back of another player's horse, or looking through the bars of a Bounty Wagon--I'll change sessions before I put up with that crap. Sedation isn't too far removed.

 

Whatever happens needs to have some kind of reasonable counter/defense, and any engagement needs to happen quickly so that player time isn't adversely affected.

Tracking arrows already do what you're describing.

^^ Is there anything that can counter being sedated? Perhaps taking a tonic or eating a specific herb?

 

If not, and I was hit with a tracking arrow, I'd just dynamite myself or exit and spawn in somewhere else.

Definitely not. There's already stupid stuff like incindiary rounds (which are killing freeroam events like Fools Gold). No more annoying stuff to make it easier for idiots to ruin the game please. The game will just end up a farce like GTAO.

Thank you all for your input- I think a counter herb/tonic would be handy. Everything the game comes out with could be used as a griefing tool.

Only if it's unbalanced weapons or ammo types. The game doesn't need more of these sort of things. It needs more interesting and varied activities.

There's no counter but the .22 Sedative rounds are a very inefficient way to kill a player vs. shooting them with a bigger gun. On the player end, they're just varmint rifle ammo with an added minor stamina drain and a drunk effect that doesn't last very long.
