Ray Carter 118
I had a crazy theory. What if this "expanded and enhanced" GTA V release is actually a huge map and story expansion to San Fierro or Vice City but also still included the original GTA V map and story too? This would replace the need for a GTA VI. Rockstar previously intended GTA Vice City to be an expansion pack before making it an independent game. and, I think it was Leslie Benzies who said he'd like to see an entire GTA world where you could travel between cities. What if this update was the beginning of this plan? Rockstar just keeps updating GTA V to include more and more content rather than working on a new title. 1 2
Racecarlock 720
Why in the hell would they do that? GTA V made 1 billion in one weekend and you think they'd abandon profits like that to focus on small GTA V updates?
victm92 111
Even if they're huge updates and the content ends up being the same than what we would call GTAVI (multiple cities, top notch graphics and physics, and new mechanics), marketing-wise it would sell 15x times greater just by being named GTAVI, so I'd say it's impossible. dreZmoL 24
I wouldn't mind if I avoided updating my hardware with it. But I doubt it will happen.

FFTLate 139
"What if this update was the beginning of this plan? GTA V is coming to PS5 because it's the last GTA in date. So they upgrade it fortunatelly. I think GTAO will keep being updated with map and vehicules from the new GTAs. But the solo of those new GTAs will not necesseraly be updated.

Keep adding content to GTA Online then start adding GTA VI content to GTA Online as it's ready instead of having a specific deadline to announce the whole game. I still have a feeling they're going to do something like this - GTA Online will be their perpetually updated entity (a la WoW) and GTA VI content will start dripping onto it until the single-player portion is ready and everything truly releases.
Thejeffster 145
Then it'll be probably one of the worst financial decisions ever made by Rockstar.

Ray Carter 118
Oh, people finally found my thread! GTA Online is where Rockstar continues to make money. When GTA VI comes out, It will feature a new GTA Online. Sure, RP and Money could be transferred over from accounts, but everything else such as properties would be lost and players would have to start over. However, keeping GTA V and GTA Online and just adding new content would solve this. I'm not talking about a normal-sized update like we've already had, but much much bigger. If you know what GTA Underground is, you'll understand what this all means. As I mentioned above, one thing could be to expand the map to include San Fierro and the whole State of San Andreas. A new single player story mode would be included, possibly even with returning characters making the move to San Fierro too. If new gameplay elements was to be included like Gyms and Restaurants, then not only would these be included in San Fierro, but places in Los Santos becoming accessible now too. Why would Rockstar care about some dudes who has played Grand Theft Auto: Online for 10 years? When Grand Theft Auto VI gets released around 2023 - 2027 they are going to have new players (babies) to play their awesome Grand Theft Auto: Online 2.0.
