What kind of sandwich we talking about here?

I can get 2 Big Macs for $5, a footlong sub for $7, and if I go to a deli for a proper Corned Beef, maybe $9 and get a bag of chips with it and a can of soda.

Fire roasted steak with cheddar and monterey jack, bacon, caramelized onions, and garlic pesto spread, on a Dutch Crunch roll.

What the f*ck is with people's obsession with wood? I don't get it. It's such a sh*tty material to use for tech stuff. I don't even want my furniture to look wooden. It's also something that usually inflates the price of the things that you buy and it is actually legit a sh*ttier material than most plastics or other alternatives that actually make sense. I've seen high end headphones incorporate wood and it's f*cking dumb. You know you're just waiting for that wood to crack one day.

Edit: I think this whole wood obsession is dumber than RGB LEDs. At least LEDs don't objectively make a product sh*ttier.

In my opinion, Wood is only good if it's used as trim. Not as main material. (For tech stuff that is, I still prefer some furniture made out of wood)

Also, for $1400, that keyboard better be cut from a tree Jesus planted himself.

I just hope my PC lasts until Zen2 CPUs are released. I mean - GTX1050Ti 4GB would be spot on for my needs, but even this card was affected by the supply shortage and price increase. :/

Not to mention the horribly expensive RAM...

Was going to save for a 1080 Ti at some point but I guess I'll stick to Xbox for a while lol. Maybe I should save up for a new PC next year. Surprisingly, the PC I have currently doesn't really cut it for music production.

I'm very glad I bought my 1070 for less than MSRP back in 2016, as well as 16GB of RAM for less than you pay for 8GB today. Not wishing ill on those invested in cryptocurrency but I'm very much hoping it crashes soon.

last week i was curious to see how much the 1080 had dropped in price, couldn't believe its 100€ more now, the TI version is going for 900€.

Not good times we living to be a PC enthusiast.

It's basically €1100 here and I originally paid €1.7K for my PC, which is still a good budget for a high-end PC save for excessive GPU costs.

I managed to order a 6GB 1060 last week for €284,-. Right now the same shop is selling it for €393,-. It hasn't returned in stock yet, but I'm glad I already ordered and paid for it, so I should get it as soon as they restock, while saving over €100,-.

These cryptominers are really f*cking over PC gamers.

I enjoy LTT's vids on a rudimentary level but his cock ups and mishaps make me want to deck the guy square in the face. It must be really nice to buy two Intel engineering samples off ebay for 2.6k, realise it's an odd socket specific mount, say f*ck it and put pressure on them using IPHONE BOXES, complain when it doesn't work then have Intel ship you FORTY GRAND's worth of top tier xeon's for free.

Having not bought any parts in nearly 5 years, and procrastinating for the last year or so, I thought this would be the year I finally do an upgrade of my gaming PC... Dammit, prices were bad enough with the lack of competition as AMD hobble along. While I'd like to have one of Nvidia's next round (or if AMD pull off a miracle), I'm leaning even more towards a second-hand Pascal. And yeah, no ill will for miners, in fact I'd love to buy from a miner who's made plenty of money and just casually bought and undervolted my card right before the crash :p

Well my impulse buys just hit again. Just bought this for $100USD. MSI X99A Godlike Extended-ATX board.

Doesn't even matter if it works at that price. Less than a year ago, it was over $500. I'm currently on the ASRock X99 ITX board, but I've been thinking of switching to a full size board again since the ITX is limiting me to 32GB of RAM. This might be the way.

There's only one X99 ITX board, and the ASRock is it. Don't forget that ITX only has 2 RAM slots. Effectively zero chance getting close to 256GB unless you find some 128GB sticks out there. Without spending thousands of course. Even a 2 x 64GB would be insane.

As for RAM, it's always better to have the option of expanding. I do a lot of photo/Video editing, 3D modelling & CAD + rendering.

Well bought a new monitor

Dell S2417DG 23.8" 2560x1440 165Hz Gsync yada yada..

Wound up messing up my previously clean and simple setup since I still want to use my old 1080p 60Hz monitor as a 2nd screen. But I found my new desk, just gonna wait a couple weeks to buy it. Been spending way too much money lately.

Old setup (much nicer)

Even put all the old consoles together (minus N64 that stopped working)

So I decided to e-mail my retailer a few days ago asking if they can give me an ETA on my graphics card with me guessing it's because of cryptomining that it's all taking longer than usual.

They responded with ''Dear Matrelith, it's indeed because of cryptomining that it's all taking a bit longer. We don't know when the new shipment of graphics cards will arrive. We hope you've been informed well enough with this message.''

no, no I'm not

This being patient thing is killing me.

So when it's April, it's been 4 years since I have been using my good old GTX780 and for 2 f*cking months I'm waiting for the GTX1080Ti to get its prices back to normal.

Now it's out of stock and prices have gone up to €1100, GTFO. Cryptocrap are digital cancer.

Is it just me or do some case manufacturer "dust filters" barely qualify as filters? I swear the mesh is so loose you wouldn't be able to strain noodles with them.

Secret reason why they dont have them in stock: They are selling them on the side at higher prices.
