A couple of years ago I found a way to cancel the animation of placing the thermal charge on the final gate after the vault door on the Pacific Standard finale, saving 5-6 seconds.
It is somewhat precise, you need to spam jump while angling your character to run onto the side of the left wall then jump again off of this wall while spamming E and then land close to or in the spot you'd normally stand while placing the thermal charge. My question is should this trick be allowed in speedruns?

Where the hell  did the time go? ;;

As always I add the new runs to the Google spreadsheet whenever there's new runs, almost weekly if not multiple times a week even - but this forum post, ehh, is a bit PITA 😃 Will be adding all missing runs ASAP.

 

Regarding FP runs, I've always seen these being played in First Person - not with hood cam, cinematic cam nor looking backwards and turning the cam around (basically as Third Person, lul). IDK if this seem too purist, but if people don't wanna be in First Person then don't do the FP runs - if this seem out of place, do speak up.

Even though I've also seen this as a somewhat unwritten rule thus far, I realize that I've verified some FP runs with hood cam (or more) over the last year. I've removed these from the leaderboard and marked them on the sheets.

I'll be adding a line to the rules to reflect that of course, and to make plenty it clear. Much appreciation to a team for going back and redoing their new run on my request.

 

Since taking over from Dan and when creating this v3, I marked some runs with: * = Obsolete times, * = Missing videos and * = Incomplete videos

As mentioned back then I intended to remove these from the leaderboards if not getting working links after some months. Some videos were simply just set to private, and still is after asking some people in DMs too. Well now it's been a lot of months and I've still yet to get a single new link - so I'll be removing these and digging through old runs to place there if needed.

Afterwards I'll be going through the unmarked runs to check these once again - there's all the bilibili videos which have gone down the drain. I'd like to ask people to reupload the (many) runs in question, but I do also think people might not have kept the recordings 🤔 Yet to decide what to do with these, although thinking similar fate as the above, if not reuploaded or redone in the next X months.

I don't see any problem with this as it's been an option for a long time, it being used or not. Go for it.

That, unfortunately, bilibili (well, all video hosting services in China) decided to take down the majority of gtav/gta online related content, including most of the videos. There is no way to recover them from the site, and theres no ETA if those videos will ever come back.

 

I assume some of the players still have the original videos, but some may have only 1 pov, or missing a required pov (eg prison guard/inmate).

 

These are all previously verified runs, are you willing to make an exception? (Maybe something like all runs submitted before xx/xx/xxxx etc)

For now I'll just be marking the runs which have missing/broken videos (some that's been either deleted or hidden on YouTube as well, boo) - please feel free to DM if you have any new links for any old runs etc, same goes for everyone else. 😄

I've added a new spot for the EMP/Heli Pac runs, right next to the current Pac runs (to preserve the way of doing things as I'm quite sure that there's people who'd still like to go by Lectros^^ - Perhaps time to give SA/Humane a similar treatment too.)

 

I'll aim to check runs and update leaderboard on the other side of Christmas.
