Euri DR
Why doesn't Rockstar get Hispanic actors to voice characters in the games? Mexicans in RDR 1 had a horrible Spanish, a lot of Hispanic gta pedestrians don't make sense when they speak Spanish (specially in gta v), and luis Spanish isn't good for the most part specially for dominican words (i know cause I'm dominican). Only game i can remember having good Spanish voice acting was MP3 in the Panama level where the enemies were Colombians and even they had some mispronunciation of some words. universetwisters
Maybe because, ironically, spanish actors cost too much Euri DR
sabitsuki
Yeah it's kinda strange considering their casting office is in New York. They could have easily gotten native Spanish speakers from anywhere. Probably to keep their games Anglocentric I guess. Zello
My family is dominican and I found Luis's spanish to be good. He really captured that NYC Spanglish well imo. I think his actor is Puerto Rican so there's that. Edited September 9, 2020 by Zello ThatBenGuy1998

It sometimes feel like they were using Google translate, but other time his Spanish was pretty good.

He grew up in Liberty City not the Dominican Republic so obviously his spanish will not be as good. Compared to other games out there I think Rockstar did a good job with the spanish. 6 hours ago, DownInTheHole said: Yeah it's kinda strange considering their casting office is in New York. Maybe Dan Houser and the writing team probably had to hire some consultants to help them out. Edited September 9, 2020 by Zello Euri DR
