It was nice, in a way, seeing not asingle player on the map the whole session. Usually, I see twenty five plus. That is even after work, at five thirty AM central. When they're fixing the game, to bring it back to a more broken state, you know something is not right. How ridiculous is it, when taken out of context, that someone would make an effort to put things a certain way even though doing so will ruin what they are working on, just because they MUST have it fit their vision, regardless of what that might mess up. It’s not supposed to happen since there’s literally only one other person in the lobby, but it did, that dreaded infinite loading screen that keeps haunting me. Rockstar will prioritize “fixing” the low-population sessions and keep ignoring this bug for-f*cking-ever. I have so much good stuff stowed on my horse whenever it happens as well. I did all the non pvp dailies, 5 random moonshine missions, 1 hideout (looted a map), and 1 random poacher mission, rescued a runaway wagon, there was a duel fought just as I delivered my shine to Van Horn Saloon, rescued a tied up girl near the main intersection in LeMoyne north of the river, and failed a camp defend because I ran out of revolver ammunition (of which I started out carrying 200) and got killed while trying to switch to a lesser grade and the campers were toast, then another hideout. I bypassed another random poacher because I had very little revolver ammo left. The first random shine mission was in Lakay, and the Florida Panther mauled me, finished the mission, went to Harriet and got sprayed, the first hideout started almost immediately...in Lakay again, another Panther mauled me again, both times during broad daylight! I haven't seen that panther in months before today. There's actually almost too much stuff to do in these low pop. sessions. Random missions everywhere, so many you just can't do them all, or at least you can't do them and keep up your planned activities (dailies, hunting for the camp, etc.) When you do run across other players, it becomes kind of a special event. So far they've always been at least uninterested, if not actually friendly. Offline, your character does certain things at the beginning, follows certain steps to move the story along, and then has a scripted end (or one of a couple). I've been gaming a long time. I've been on those scripted rides many, many times, playing that same old typical protagonist before. Online lets me avoid most, if not all, of that and that's why I purchased the game. It would be the clearest of indicators that R* value the ideology of their vision over the stability of the game and the experience that would please the majority of players. Unless R* can make the game work as it does today with 20+ players in a lobby, they can't "fix" it without looking foolish.
