What's wrong with the lobbies?

Lobbies are still less than R* intend and events aren't spawning also like intended. They've literally just re-broken it again.

 

It's just tragic to see praise for this farce is all. All it does is enable R* to persist with such nonsense that compromises the game.

They tried a sort of middle ground it seems so no 25 players but half of it, again, they know the kiddos who waste their parents money in the game like to interact and grief. Maybe they will come back to small lobbies in a few weeks.

Yeah, I bet if R* could, they wish they hadn't teased they have lobby choices as a back up now the game has had a prolonged spell where the game was all but like an invite only session, lol. Many players that have been calling for those type of lobbies have seen just how awesome the game can be. 🤣

 

I saw you mention the potential of a patch in another thread, so here's hoping things don't get as bad as that previous patch you mentioned as regardless of my preferences, the game was in a real bad way for all with that patch which no-one wants. 🤠

As Amy just said previously, who knows what R* are planning, lol.

 

Just a shame this sort of stuff helps further a split in the playerbase so we all can't have nice things. ☹🤠

I think Alberta doesn't have any.

I know their sales tax/GST is only 7% where most have 15% like here.

But they must be doing something right because even after 2 years you still keep playing it. Maybe you are one of those people who aren't happy unless they have things to complain about.

Weren't you just complaining about another putting words in your mouth or something like that in another thread?

 

I stopped playing and only returned once I saw the lobby size shrink and now the game is back on the shelf once I've flown through this Halloween pass by doing quick dailies.

 

Besides, you're the one that started numerous threads for any given issue, lol. Anyway, what this game does do that I like, I love. But it's blatantly obvious to all the game has issues and my complaints over those, often in your threads too, are very much warranted so don't be a dick.

A fan can have legitimate criticism and voice that and it's rather weak to assume I/anyone that does for genuine issues you brought up would like to complain for the sake of it. I want nothing more to be full of praises for what should be something that at least works. But facts are facts, the game is still broken. Sometimes to my playstyles benefit, others for yours.

 

It's just a shame is all.

They still need to lower the lobbies, of the few hours we played we had one legendary spawn way up North. A few hideouts/poacher/moonshine random attacks, but no random encounters like defend the camp etc... 10 people seemed to be when the game worked a little better, that was when the hideouts began to appear and the legendary came up.

Lol, it had me actually being able to immerse myself into the game. Now I'm back to watching for those dots and getting a bit anxious when they approach, the game once again just seems more stressful and it takes the enjoyment back a bit for me.

Lol, it had me actually being able to immerse myself into the game. Now I'm back to watching for those dots and getting a bit anxious when they approach, the game once again just seems more stressful and it takes the enjoyment back a bit for me.

 

But R* wanted us all to come together, with the idea that we all will play nice. Well some of us want to play nice and others want to play dirty, and there are the players in between who like to play dirty with the dirty players. The first and the last can get along rather well, it's the middle players who are the problem, they are the ones that make it difficult for players to get along. Unfortunately the only way that they can alleviate that problem is to give the players the options of having a server fit for their playing preference, which is obviously against R* desire to have one big happy gamer family.. Thing is, we're not a family, we're a group of strangers who have different wants and their idea of happiness will never work.

Indeed, yesterday i played with 12 players and no legendary nor dynamic event spawned in 4 hours... first time that ocurred to me in more than a month... 10 players or lower, maybe 8 its the ideal.

I know R* logic is a running gag on here, but I really can't understand why all of a sudden they've done this without at least trying a patch alongside of it. With certain aspect being on the list of daily challenges and not showing up, it can only irk players when they learn they can't complete them and make progress on the buckles related.

 

At least with smaller lobbies but all these things more consistent, players could group up and bring friends into lobbies and we could join showdowns etc. Seems weird to me.

Likewise, I lost time so often in this world while things were so enjoyable for how I like it. I'm just glad I enjoyed the spell we had as I'd have been really disappointed with myself had I not caught on, lol. 

 

But I've done myself no favours by growing to love RDRO while it was so immersive for me. I want more. 🤣

Again, I just don't get their thinking really. Especially as it's the same developer that knows how messy GTA:O got once things went public only. They naturally know PvE and PvP don't mix, and after enabling griefing in their other game, it was bound to follow over to some extent too.

 

They show that by adding anti-griefing measures, but to a determined griefer, they're just icons to target as they know exactly who doesn't want their shenanigans so will impose them onto us.

 

I don't want to play another random players game, I want to play mine, unless it's a mutual thing of course as I'd like to think I'm a helpful chap that'll play the 'give and take' game too (just this weekend I helped another do GTA's Criminal Mastermind challenge, my 6th playthrough on that to help others, and I took zero in the heist cuts to bump another chap - Although with $175m banked, the money is way down the list of needs. I just enjoyed the run, lol).

 

I love co-op PvE with randoms as much as I enjoy solo time but I do none of it here because I don't trust the randoms I meet on the Le Clerk missions as more often than not, it becomes a mess once we respawn into freemode and as much as I'm never against PvP, being served up as a sitting duck has so little appeal and actually deters me branching out.

 

Oops, I just got stuck into that response. 🤣 🤠

I understand the feeling, in my case i love horses and old guns... and as there arent any equestrian simulator near to rd level, i am very much stuck with the game when i am in the mood to role play it.

This right here is the main reason that shows how good the proximity change is to the game, and now more than never is clearly shown that if R* do REMOVE blue dots, or at least make Defensive go totally off radar and hidden tag with a penalty of not being able to attack a player unless attacked, is needed, if R* won’t add private lobbies and want the community all together, they need to rethink why the proximity was added and know that Non Hostile Blips being off will solve ALL griefing problems (excluding hackers of course).

 

Repeat with me guys:

 

“No More Blue Blips, No More Blue Blips, No More Blue Blips...”

 

 if we type that enough here we may get something :p

So now it seems there's just enough players per lobby to remove most random events and mess up legendary animal spawning, and yet I still almost never run into any other players.

 

They have miraculously managed to combine the worst of both worlds, creating a brand new, much sh*ttier experience for every type of player. Amazing.

That's one opinion. Another is that they have come to a reasonable compromise. With 13 or so players in a lobby animals spawn in pretty frequently and so do legendaries and random events. Player numbers are also reduced enough so that you get left on you own most of the time if you want be.

I warned you all about this, time and time again....  Now it's another hiding session before fighting restarts.

 

Well since nice things seem to removed eventually, I'm gonna lock this for now and see if things cool off.  I might open it again later, once the message is understood, but any sign of complaining and moaning at each other in different threads and that's it.
