Fastest way to level up?

What is the fastest way or trick to level up as of now? I know crates is one way but I've done my fair share of grinding and it eats up the soul. But after almost 7 years and still at a mere lv 443 it is time to get to up to lv 500.

 

I'm open to all ideas, including the rubber band on controller ones (especially those). And I'm also happy to join an active crew that does heists/jobs.

Anything 2x or 3x, doing well in stunt races, or crates by sourcing 1 then selling it on repeat. The latter being rather boring IMO, but spamming races and getting stuck in and forgetting about rank is good. Transform races are double this week.

Sourcing, then selling special cargo crates is certainly a great way of racking up RP, if you don't mind getting bored of it because it does get boring after some time. It's even more effective when special cargo pay out double, but that's a once in a while thing. That way, you get almost 5000 RP per source and 10000 RP per sale, though sometimes selling special cargo does not pay double, only sourcing it does.

Spinning the lucky wheel in the casino and getting RP, its not a thing you can do constantly and I know there is a 24hr cooldown but accumulating RP from the lucky wheel is a decent strategy.

I assumed you already knew what that meant because you did mention "crates" in your post. It basically means acquiring crates to put in your special cargo warehouse to sell later on. When you start up a source mission, you will be required to go where the crate(s) is located, pick it up, and then take it back to your warehouse. Not all source missions are the same, though. They usually aren't very long or complicated. Each time you complete a source mission, you get around 2400 RP, regardless of how many crates you sourced. You can source up to three crates if you wish, but you don't have to. I normally do one. Sometimes it's easier and quicker to source only one, depending on the type of source mission you were given, so you're better off sourcing one crate instead. It's easier on the bank account, too. 

 

You can easily start one up via the Terrorbyte if you have one. Simply request it via the Interaction menu under "Services", enter it, and then approach the computer. The option to source special cargo should show up on there, and it will ask you which warehouse you'd like to source the crate to. You must be registered as a CEO first to be able to source and sell special cargo, and you must own at least one warehouse. Alternatively, you can start up a source mission in your CEO office, but this is more time consuming. Source the crate, take it back to your warehouse, and then sell it straight away. Selling a crate(s) gives you around 5000 RP. That's a good amount. Do note that there is a cool-down after you make a sale. To bypass this, you can purchase multiple warehouses and simply source and sell with the next warehouse. I personally own three. 

 

I used to do this method a lot back when the Mk2 speed glitch existed, and man, I burnt through the levels like crazy.

Arena Wars wheel is good for RP, try something like wreck it, die in the first minute and go use arena war wheel. Another thing is hangar supply jobs, some of the missions give you PR for every downed NPC plane and you have to take down quite a few. Don't forget Casino wheel, you can get a lot of RP if you're lucky. Of course everything x2 and x3 will get you level up fast. But in my opinion high level doesn't get you anything useful, if I could I would keep my level around 150-200  : )

Playing contact missions/freemode missions (VIP Work, Terrorbyte jobs, Agatha Baker missions) + whatever event is doubled/tripled.

Also, Double Action Revolver, Navy Revolver, Cards, Figurines, Signal Blockers and the new Movie Lot missions can get you some reasonable RP and cash. Plus, you can rank up your stats whilst running, driving and flying about to collect them all?

Any kind of Races, even better when they are 2x or 3x

 

What a lot of people never appear to have realized is that while most jobs directly give you the xp you earned (like you would expect) for races they somehow decided to use the sections of the xp bar (the one you can see at the top of screen/in most post-job/post-race screens) you end up getting a bunch more xp because it just fills a whole section/chunk of the xp level bar thingy.

Im level 940 at the moment, and (assuming what i googled is still correct info) it takes 70600 xp to go from 940 too 941, the xp bar thingy-ma-jigger has 10 chunks, so each chunk is worth 7060 xp, if i win a race and drive it nicely i get at most 5000 xp, yet the game awards me at least the 7060xp needed for 1 chunk of the xp bar. Now consider what happens when 2x or 3x events are running and it should become much more clear why some people have ranked up a lot faster.

 

What im unsure about is how it works at lower levels (like sub 120) pretty sure those players get shafted, it might only take 1000 xp or whatever to fill a chunk when you're low level, but good chance thats all it will do, so you win a race, scoreboard says 5000, but you only get 1000 because that filled the chunk? not sure about this

I got to 1581 between March 2016 and now.

 

Admittedly, there have probably been at east half a dozen 2x event weeks I just couldn't face. Never miss a 3x though.

 

I mostly did Headhunter / Sightseer at first, and around 3,500 races, I do cargo now but only on double and sell around 750k a day from the NC.

 

To be honest, it helps if you can drive, you can pull stupid RP from winning full lobby races.

 

I went up 17 levels during the last Arena 3x.

 

But, all said and done, t's a meaningless stat anymore. That's why I stopped caring at around 1350. Since then it's just been what it's been with no trying.

 

There are so many people harvesting RP from crooked jobs and farms, I assume most people i see are fake unless I know the name from old, especially when you see their stats and they are level 1300 and something and have half stealth and flying stats.

Yeah I edited the post because I realized how stupid that question was. I'm a very experienced player but English isn't my native tongue so I wasn't sure whether it meant picking it up yourself or 'sourcing it out' meaning paying for it.

@DBrasco If you are open to all ideas, just preserve your rank. There's nothing that you will achieve with the digits 500 or 1000. Your rank should represent how you are playing the game and you should not play the game to get rank, otherwise there are better things to do.

I'm a freeroamer and have plenty of fun, at the cost of leveling up slowly. If you want to level up efficiently you have to grind your ass off, which is the opposite of fun. You can't have it both ways unfortunately...

Good point and I agree. But every now and then you have to set some goals to keep things fresh, so my current goal is getting up to lvl 500.

Ever since the Survival creator came out, people have been making AFK survivals. You can rubberband your controller and it'll make you a few thousand RP in like 10 minutes. Not a huge amount, but no work required.

 

I wouldn't worry about leveling up too much - I'm at 955 right now and the higher I get, the more often I get kicked/accused of modding/asked for money.

This, and the fact that half the epic giveaway idiots bought themselves a high level really isnt helping legit high levels.

Even before PC release having a high rank was a real issue. I remember original contact missions on 1.07 or so and being 200+ was a problem, and that's 2014 we are talking (or so).

Lol,if i have 7years just like you i'd would sell one cargo by repeating it then my rank would be 1000 or 2000 not mod/cheat. But if you are lazy of course you'll stuck at low level

I wanted to make it to 1000 but i think i will just give up. Im at 818 or something not sure atm. At some point i only played contact missions to get RP, especially if it was 2x RP & Money, didn't need the money really, only wanted to rank up. Then i did VIP/CEO Freemode Jobs for a while, the one with the or weaponized boxville or whatever it is, i just entered the Boxville? and immediatly got out again, spawned the CEO Buzzard and flied to the next rooftop, this way no npcs spawn that want to attack it, easy 35K? everytime. Damn i forgotten so many stuff of that game already, took a long break (2 years). 

 

Hmm maybe i should start doing that Freemode Job again, while watching Netflix/Prime Video on my TV, to earn money and RP, while actually doing nothing. The best part is it can be repeated over and over again, if you just restart the game, the cooldown is gone, and it can be played in invite only sessions too. So the loadtimes are very short with SSD.

 

That's a pretty good extremely grindy way to get RP and Money the most lazy way.
