Red Dead Redemption 2 for PS5/Xbox Series X

So there is still no news on Red Dead Redemption 2 for next gen systems. Whats going on? It's their newest game, do you think Rockstar will announce it soon?

Probably at whatever show Sony do next since they have the marketing but who knows. 

 

If it doesn't get a dedicated port I'm 100% certain it will be boosted to take advantage of the PS5/ Xbox Series X/S hardware (Kind of like Rdr1 on X1X) rather than regular BC

It will probably still happen, we may get an announcement at the next PlayStation state of play event. It would be a real shame if they don't make an 'expanded and enhanced' version of RDR2.

Next gen is backwards compatible? They have to release an "expanded and enhanced" version. It makes so much sense financially. A few extra missions, new guns, obviously better graphics, more clothing, more bounties. More challenges, I mean you could add so much more...I'd be a mug and buy it.

Yeah next gen consoles play all current gen games (with a few exceptions like the kinect games on Xbox)  and some will be boosted and enhanced for the hardware(like Gears 5) without it being a next gen port like GTA V

marketing is focused on Standalone GTA Online for PS5. I'm pretty sure after the relase of GTA Online, RDR2 will get his attention.

I'm actually more exciting getting an updated GTAV than RDR2, RDR2 already looks amazing as it is, well imo anyways.

The way this game is going if there ever was and RDR2 some idiot would probably have hacked it so that it functioned rather like RDR1 but with no soul, which is essentially how games work now, some hacker ruins it for everyone throws a paddy and takes his football home if you catch my meaning. Then we can set RDR57 on the moon.

If they do an expanded sort of thing I'd love to see some of that excised "five hours worth of content." Maybe they could put that drinking activity with Swanson back in the game so we can actually get to know that guy a little bit. On that note, was anything else like that dug up? Really though, new activities for the camp members would be my main request, especially ones we never got to know that well outside of camp interactions and the like.

 

But anyone who has read my posts here knows what my main request would be... implement that companion feature that's already there, just inaccessible without glitching!
